فَرِحَ الْمُخَلَّفُونَ بِمَقْعَدِهِمْ خِلاَفَ رَسُولِ اللّهِ وَكَرِهُواْ أَن يُجَاهِدُواْ بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنفُسِهِمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَقَالُواْ لاَ تَنفِرُواْ فِي الْحَرِّ قُلْ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَ أَشَدُّ حَرًّا لَّوْ كَانُوا يَفْقَهُونَ
English Transliteration: Farihaal muhaallafoona bi maak’aadihim hıleafa rasoolilleahi va karihoo an yuceahidoo bi amvealihim va anfusihim fee sabeelilleahi va kealoo lea tanfiroo feel haarr(haarri), kul nearu cahannama ashaddu haarrea(haarraan), lav keanoo yafkaahoon(yafkaahoona).
Those who stayed behind (disbelievers) rejoiced at their staying and sitting opposing the Messenger of Allah. They were averse from striving and fighting in the Way of Allah with their property and their souls (lives). And said: “Do not go to war in the heat”. Say: “The Fire of Hell is more intense in heat”. If only they could understand!
