Surah Al-A'raf
7/Al-A'raf-1: Alif, leam, meem, sead, 7/Al-A'raf-2: Kiteabun unzila ilayka fa lea yakun fee saadrika haaraacun minhu li tunzira bihee va zikrea lil mu’mineen(mu’mineena)., 7/Al-A'raf-3: Ittabioo mea unzila ilaykum min raabbikum va lea tattabioo min doonihee avliyeaa, kaaleelan mea tazakkaroon(tazakkaroona).
Al-A'raf, Surah The Heights (Qur'an: Surat-7-Al-A'raf)
Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem
7/Al-A'raf-1:
Alif-Lâm-Mîm-Sâd.
7/Al-A'raf-2:
The Book sent down to you is a Dhikir (advise) to the believers that you may warn thereby. So let there be no tightness (distress) in your breast on account of it.
7/Al-A'raf-3:
Follow (depend on) what has been sent to you from your Lord and do not follow any friends besides Him. Little do you deliberate!
7/Al-A'raf-4:
And how many countries have We destroyed! So Our severe torment came to them by night or while they were taking their midday nap.
7/Al-A'raf-5:
Yet their invocation, when Our severe torment came to them, was nothing but that they said: “Surely we were wrongdoers”!
7/Al-A'raf-6:
Most certainly then We will question those to whom the Messengers were sent, and most certainly We will also question the Messengers.
7/Al-A'raf-7:
Then most certainly We will explain to them with knowledge. We were not unaware (of their actions).
7/Al-A'raf-8:
And the measuring out (weighing) on that Day of Permission (day of reckoning) is true (real). Then as for him whose measure (of good deeds) is heavy, those are they who shall be in Salvation.
7/Al-A'raf-9:
And as for him whose measure (of good deeds) is light, those are they who have made their souls fall into Loss (Husrân) because they wronged Our Verses.
7/Al-A'raf-10:
Certainly We have placed you in the earth and made in it means of livelihood. Little thanks do you give!
7/Al-A'raf-11:
And certainly We created you, then shaped you, then We said to the angels: “Prostrate yourselves to Adam”. They prostrated themselves except Iblîs (Lucifer), he was not of those who prostrated themselves.
7/Al-A'raf-12:
(Allah) said: “What prevented you that you did not prostrate yourself, when I commanded you (to prostrate yourself)”? Iblîs (Lucifer) said: “I am better than him (Adam), You created me from fire, and him You created from clay”.
7/Al-A'raf-13:
(Allah) said: “Then get down from there, for it does not befit you to behave arrogantly therein. Go forth right away. Surely you are of the abject ones”.
7/Al-A'raf-14:
(Lucifer) said: “Reprieve me until the Day when they are resurrected”.
7/Al-A'raf-15:
(Allah) said: “Surely You are of the reprieved ones”.
7/Al-A'raf-16:
(Lucifer) said: “As You have exacerbated me, I will certainly sit in against them (to stop them) on Your Sıratı Mustakîm (the Path directed towards Allah)”.
7/Al-A'raf-17:
Then I will certainly come to them from before them and from behind them and from their right-hand side and from their left-hand side; and You shall not find most of them thankful.
7/Al-A'raf-18:
(Allah) said: “Get out from there, despised, driven away”! Whoever of them follows (depends on) you, I will certainly fill Hell with you all.
7/Al-A'raf-19:
And O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in Heaven; so eat from where you both wish. And do not approach this tree, for then you (both) will be of the wrong-doers.
7/Al-A'raf-20:
Then Satan whispered suggestions to them to make manifest to them what had been hidden from them and he said: “Your Lord has not forbidden you this tree except that you should become angels or become of the immortals”.
7/Al-A'raf-21:
And (Satan) swore by Allah to them both: ‘Most surely I am one of the sincere advisers for you both’.
7/Al-A'raf-22:
Thus did he mislead them by a deceit. When they tasted (the fruit) of the tree, their private parts became manifest to them, and they both began to cover themselves with the leaves of the Garden; and their Lord called out to them: “Did I not forbid you both from that tree and say to you: ‘Assuredly Satan is an open enemy’”?
7/Al-A'raf-23:
They both said: “Our Lord! We wronged our souls, and If You do not forgive us and have not mercy on us, surely we are of the losers”.
7/Al-A'raf-24:
(Allah) said: “Get down as enemies to each other, and there is for you in the earth an abode (a dwelling-place) and an provision for a while”.
7/Al-A'raf-25:
Allah said: “Therein shall you live, and therein shall you die, and from it shall you be raised”.
7/Al-A'raf-26:
O Children of Adam! We have indeed sent down to you clothing to cover your private parts and as an adornment (clothing); and the clothing of piety (Takwâ), that is better. This is of the Signs of Allah that you may deliberate.
7/Al-A'raf-27:
O Children of Adam! Let not Satan cause you to fall into Fitnah (temptation, incitement) as he expelled your parents from Heaven pulling off from them both their clothing that he might show them their private parts. He as well as his tribe surely sees you from where you cannot see them. Surely We have made satans the friends of those who do not believe.
7/Al-A'raf-28:
And when they committed an indecency they said: “We found our fathers on this (We saw so from them) and Allah has commanded it on us”. Say: “Allah never commands indecency (Fahshâi)”. Do you say about Allah that which you do not know?
7/Al-A'raf-29:
Say: “My Lord has commanded you to act in justice and that you should set upright your faces in every place of worship to prayers”. And call on Him rendering the Religion peculiar to Him only. As He created you, so shall you also return (to Him).
7/Al-A'raf-30:
A group has attained to Guidance (Hidayet), and a group deserved to be in Misguidance. Surely they took the satans for friends instead of Allah, and reckon that they have attained to Guidance (Hidayet).
7/Al-A'raf-31:
O Children of Adam! Have your embellishments at every place of worship. Eat and drink, but do not be extravagant. Surely He does not love the extravagant.
7/Al-A'raf-32:
Say: “Who has prohibited the embellishment of Allah which He has brought forth for His servants and clean things from the provision”? That is for those who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah before death) in the life of this world. And exclusively for them on the Day of Resurrection as well. Thus do We explain the Verses individually for a people who know.
7/Al-A'raf-33:
Say: “My Lord has only prohibited indecencies, those of them that are apparent as well as those that are concealed and the sin and rebellion without justice, and that you associate with Allah that for which He has not sent down any proof, and that you say against Allah what you do not know”.
7/Al-A'raf-34:
And for every nation (Umma) there is an appointed term. Once their appointed term arrives, they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede.
7/Al-A'raf-35:
O Children of Adam! Whenever come to you messengers from among you who narrate to you My Verses, then whoever becomes the owner of piety (Takwa) and improves the soul (cleanses the soul) on them there is no fear nor do they grieve.
7/Al-A'raf-36:
And those who reject our Verses and treat them with arrogance, these are the inmates of the Fire, they shall abide in it forever.
7/Al-A'raf-37:
Who is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah or rejects His Verses? They are those who will receive their portion of the Book (Qur’an). When Our messengers (the angel of death and his assistants) come to them to take their souls, they (the angels) told them: “Where is that which you used to call upon besides Allah”? They said: “They are gone away from us and they bore witness against themselves (their own souls) that they were disbelievers”.
7/Al-A'raf-38:
(Allah) said: “Enter into the Fire among the nations of the jinn and men who have passed away before you”. Whenever a nation enters there back to back, it curses their siblings (who caused them to be astray). The last of them said for the first of them: Our Lord! These left us in Misguidance, so give them a double torment of the Fire! Allah (said): “For everyone there is double (torment) but you do not know”.
7/Al-A'raf-39:
And the first of them said to the last of them: “So you have no superiority over us”. Therefore taste the torment for what you used to earn.
7/Al-A'raf-40:
Surely as for those who belie Our Verses and treat them with haughtiness, the gates of heaven will not be opened for them (they cannot render their sprits back to Allah in their lifetime), nor shall they enter Heaven until the camel (heavy rope) pass through the eye of the needle. This is how We punish the sinners (the guilty).
7/Al-A'raf-41:
For them there is a bed (of fire) in Hell and over them coverings (of fire). Thus do We requite the wrong-doers.
7/Al-A'raf-42:
Those who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah while they are living) and do improving deeds (that cleans and purify their souls’ hearts), We do not burden any soul beyond its scope. They are the owners (dwellers) of Heaven, in it they shall abide (forever).
7/Al-A'raf-43:
We removed whatever of vices (in their souls’ hearts) in their breasts. The rivers flow under them and they said: “All praise is due to Allah Who has guided us to this, and never could we have attained to Guidance (Hidayet), had it not been that Allah had guided us”! Certainly the Messengers of our Lord did come with the truth. And it is cried out to them: “This is Heaven of which you are made heirs for what you used to do”.
7/Al-A'raf-44:
And the people of Heaven called out to the people of the Fire (Hell): “Surely we have found what our Lord promised us true”. Have you too found what your Lord promised you true? They say: “Yes”. Then a crier (the one authorized to call out) amongst them cried: “May the Curse of Allah be on the wrong-doers”.
7/Al-A'raf-45:
They hinder from the Way of Allah and seek to make it (the Way of Allah) crooked and they are disbelievers in the hereafter (in the spirit’s reaching Allah before death).
7/Al-A'raf-46:
And between them, there is a veil and on Al-A’râf (hills) there are men who recognize all by their countenance (faces). They called out to the people of Heaven who did not enter it yet, but hope: “Peace be on you”.
7/Al-A'raf-47:
And when their eyes are turned towards the people of the Fire (Hell), they said: “Our Lord! Do not place us with the wrongdoing people”!
7/Al-A'raf-48:
And the people of Al-A’râf called out to the men whom they recognize by their countenance: “What you gathered and haughtily behavior did not benefit you”?
7/Al-A'raf-49:
(It is said to the people of Hell): “Are these they about whom you swore that Allah will not reach with His mercy”? (And it is said to the people of Heaven): “Enter Heaven! There is no fear on you nor do you grieve”.
7/Al-A'raf-50:
And the people of the Fire (Hell) called out to the people of Heaven: “Pass to us some water or that which Allah has given you as sustenance”. (People of Heaven) said: “Allah has forbidden them both to the disbelievers”.
7/Al-A'raf-51:
They are the ones who took their religion as an amusement and play and whom the life of the world beguiled. So this Day We forget them as they forgot their meeting of this Day, and as they used to deny Our Signs knowingly.
7/Al-A'raf-52:
And certainly We have brought them a Book which We have explained in detail with knowledge, as a Guidance and a Mercy for a people who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah before death).
7/Al-A'raf-53:
Do they only look at its interpretation? On the Day when its interpretation came, those who have forgotten say: “Indeed the Messengers of our Lord have come with the truth”. Are there for us then any intercessors so that they should intercede for us? Or could we be sent back (to life on earth) so that we should do other than those which we did? Indeed they have failed their souls and that which they forged has gone away from them.
7/Al-A'raf-54:
Surely your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in Six Days, then He rose over the heavens. The night gets covered with the day which is in haste to follow it. And the sun and the moon and the stars are subjected to His Command. Surely His is the Creation and the Command, is it not? Blessed is Allah, Lord of the Worlds, the Most Exalted.
7/Al-A'raf-55:
Call on your Lord as you plead and in secret. He does not love those who exceed the limits.
7/Al-A'raf-56:
And do not make mischief in the earth after reformation and call on Him with fear and hope. Surely the Mercy of Allah is near to the Muhsinîn.
7/Al-A'raf-57:
And He it is Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, before His Mercy. When they have carried a heavy-laden cloud, We sent it to a land that is dead, then We caused water to descend on it. Then We produced every kind of crop therewith. Similarly, We bring forth the dead that you may deliberate.
7/Al-A'raf-58:
And as for the beautiful land (where the soil is fertile), its vegetation springs forth by the Permission of its Lord, and that which is bad (unproductive, barren), its herbage is given forth but sparsely. Thus do We explain in detail Our Verses for a people who are thankful.
7/Al-A'raf-59:
Certainly We sent Noah to his people. Then he said: “O my people! Be servants to Allah! You have no god other than Him. Surely I fear for you the torment of a great Day”!
7/Al-A'raf-60:
The eminent among his people said: “Most surely we see you in clear Misguidance”.
7/Al-A'raf-61:
(He said): “O my people! I am not in Misguidance, and however I am a Messenger from the Lord of the Worlds”.
7/Al-A'raf-62:
I convey (deliver) to you the messages of my Lord and give good counsel to you. And I learn from Allah what you do not know.
7/Al-A'raf-63:
Do you wonder that a Reminder has come to you from your Lord through a man from among you, that he might warn you and that you might have piety (Takwâ) and so that you might receive mercy?
7/Al-A'raf-64:
But they called him a liar, so We saved him and those with him in the Ark. And we drowned those who belied Our Verses. Surely they became a blind people.
7/Al-A'raf-65:
And to Aad (People) their brother, Hûd said: “O my people! Be a servant to Allah! There is no deity for you other than Him. Will you then still have no piety (Takwâ)”?
7/Al-A'raf-66:
The eminent of those who disbelieved from among his people said: “Most surely we see you in folly, and most surely we think you to be of the liars”.
7/Al-A'raf-67:
(Hud) said: “O my people! There is no folly in me; but I am a Messenger of the Lord of the worlds”.
7/Al-A'raf-68:
I convey (deliver) to you the messages of my Lord and I am a trustworthy counsel.
7/Al-A'raf-69:
And do you wonder that a Reminder has come to you from your Lord through a man from among you that he might warn you? Remember when He made you successors after Noah’s people (replaced you with them) and increased you amply in strength (created your physical bodies big and strong) So remember the blessings of Allah upon you, that you may attain to the Salvation.
7/Al-A'raf-70:
They said: “Have you come to us that we may be servants to Allah alone and give up what our fathers used to worship”? Then bring to us what you promise us (torment), if you are of the truthful.
7/Al-A'raf-71:
(Hud) said: “Indeed torment and Wrath from your Lord have lighted (come) upon you”. Do you wrangle with me about names which you and your fathers have named? Allah has not sent any proof to him. Then just wait. Indeed, I am with you among those who wait.
7/Al-A'raf-72:
Then (after that event) We delivered him and those with him by Mercy from Us and We cut off the last (eliminated the generation) of those who belied our Verses and were not believers.
7/Al-A'raf-73:
And to (the people of) Thamûd their brother Sâlih said: “O my people! Become a servant to Allah! You have no god other than Him. A clear miracle (proof) indeed has come to you from your Lord. This is the she-camel of Allah, a sign (miracle) to you. So let her feed in Allah’s earth (freely) and do not touch her with any harm (with evil intention), otherwise a painful torment seizes you”.
7/Al-A'raf-74:
And remember (He) made you successors after Aad and settled you in the earth. You make palaces on its plains and carve out houses in the mountains. So remember the Blessings of Allah and do not act corruptly in the land, making mischief.
7/Al-A'raf-75:
The eminent of those who behaved proudly among his people said to those who believed from among them who were considered weak: “Do you know that Sâlih is sent by his Lord”? (They) said: “Surely we are the believers in what he has been sent with”.
7/Al-A'raf-76:
Those who were haughty said: “Surely we are the deniers of what you believe in”.
7/Al-A'raf-77:
So they slaughtered the (she) camel and revolted against their Lord’s Commandment (crossed the line) and they said: “O Sâlih! Bring us what you promised us (the torment), if you are a sent Messenger”.
7/Al-A'raf-78:
So the earthquake seized them and they remained kneeled down in their lands.
7/Al-A'raf-79:
Then (Sâlih) turned away from them and said: “O my people, I did certainly deliver to you the Message of my Lord and I counseled you, but you do not love the counselors”.
7/Al-A'raf-80:
And Lot said to his people: “What! Do you bring an indecency (wickedness) which any one has not brought before you in the Worlds”?
7/Al-A'raf-81:
Most surely you also come to males besides females. No, you are indeed a wasteful people (transgressing the bounds).
7/Al-A'raf-82:
And the answer of his people was no other than that they said: “Turn them out of our land; surely they are a pure people”.
7/Al-A'raf-83:
So We rescued him and his household, except his wife; she was of those who remained behind.
7/Al-A'raf-84:
And We rained down on them a rain (of stones). Look then what was the end of the guilty (sinner).
7/Al-A'raf-85:
And to (the people of) Midian their brother Shu’ayb said: “O my people! Be servants to Allah, you have no god other than Him. A clear proof (a miracle) indeed has come to you from your Lord, therefore give full measure and full weight and do not diminish to men the value of their things. Do not make mischief in the earth after its reform. This is better for you if you are believers”.
7/Al-A'raf-86:
Do not sit (on) every path, threatening (promising) and turning away from Allah’s Way those who believe in Him. And you are seeking to make it (Allah’s Path) crooked. And remember when you were few, then He multiplied you, and look what was the end of the mischief-makers.
7/Al-A'raf-87:
And if there is a party (group) of you who believe in that which I have been sent with and a party who do not believe, then have patience until Allah judges between us; and He is the Best of the judges.
7/Al-A'raf-88:
The eminent of those who were arrogant among his people said: “We will most certainly drive you out, O Shu’ayb, and (also) those who believe with you (reaching Allah before death), from our land or you shall come back to our nation (religion)”. (Shu’ayb) said: “Even though we dislike it”?
7/Al-A'raf-89:
Indeed we shall have forged a lie against Allah if we go back to your nation (religion) after Allah has delivered us from it. And it does not befit us that we should go back to it, except if Allah our Lord should will. Our Lord encompasses all things with His Knowledge. In Allah we put our trust. Our Lord, separate between us and our people with truth. And You are the Best of the conquerors.
7/Al-A'raf-90:
And the eminent of those who disbelieved from among his people said: If you follow (depend on) Shu’ayb, You shall then most surely be losers (be of those who make their souls fall into loss).
7/Al-A'raf-91:
So a severe earthquake seized them. Upon that they remained on their knees in their own land.
7/Al-A'raf-92:
Those who called Shu’ayb a liar were as though they had never dwelt therein. Those who called Shu’ayb a liar, they were the losers (they caused their souls to fall into loss, husrân).
7/Al-A'raf-93:
So (Shu’ayb) turned away from them and said: “Certainly I delivered to you the messages of my Lord and I gave you good advice. How shall I then be sorry for a disbelieving people”?
7/Al-A'raf-94:
And We did not send a Prophet in a town but We overtook its people with distress and affliction in order that they might beg earnestly.
7/Al-A'raf-95:
Then We changed the evil for the good. When they increased in number and in wealth they said: “Severe efficiency and abundance also touched Our fathers (they did not think it was from Allah and did not learn a lesson)”. So We seized them suddenly while they were unaware (when they were conscious of it).
7/Al-A'raf-96:
If the people of that country had believed (had been âmenû, had wished to reach Allah before death) and had had piety, We would certainly have opened up for them abundance from the heaven and the earth. But they belie. So We seized (punished) them on account of what they used to earn.
7/Al-A'raf-97:
Or were the people of those countries sure of Our severe punishment (not) coming to them by night while they were asleep?
7/Al-A'raf-98:
And were the people of those countries sure of Our severe punishment coming to them in the forenoon while they play (keep themselves busy)?
7/Al-A'raf-99:
Were they then sure of Allah’s Plan? Only the people in loss cannot feel secure from Allah’s trick (that Allah will not torment them).
7/Al-A'raf-100:
And would not (Allah) deliver those who inherit the earth to Guidance (Hidayet) after its (country’s) people? If We had willed, We would have caused (calamities) to come upon them for their sins. And We would have sealed up their hearts so they would not hear.
7/Al-A'raf-101:
Such are the countries that We relate to you their news (conditions). Certainly their Messengers came to them with the clear proofs (miracles). But they did not believe in for what they rejected (belied) earlier. Thus does Allah set a seal over the hearts of the disbelievers.
7/Al-A'raf-102:
We did not find for most of them fulfilling (loyal to their) covenant. And, most of them We found to be certainly Fâsiqîn (those who are not in the Way of Allah or have gone out of it).
7/Al-A'raf-103:
Then, We sent (commissioned) after them Moses with Our Verses (miracles) to Pharaoh and eminent (of his nation), but they wrongfully rejected them; consider then what was the end of the mischief-makers.
7/Al-A'raf-104:
And Moses said: “O Pharaoh! Surely I am a Messenger from the Lord of the Worlds (commissioned by Him)”.
7/Al-A'raf-105:
What is true (righteous) is that I should say nothing about Allah except the truth. I have come to you indeed with clear proof (miracle) from your Lord; therefore send with me the Children of Israel.
7/Al-A'raf-106:
(Pharaoh) said: “If you have come with a Sign (miracle), then bring it, if you are of the truthful ones”.
7/Al-A'raf-107:
So (Moses) threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent (dragon), manifest!
7/Al-A'raf-108:
And when he drew forth his hand (from his bosom) it was white for the beholders.
7/Al-A'raf-109:
The eminent of Pharaoh’s people said: “Most surely this is a well-versed (learned) sorcerer”.
7/Al-A'raf-110:
(Pharaoh asked the eminent of his people about Moses:) “He wants to get you out of your land, so what do you say (advise)”?
7/Al-A'raf-111:
They said: “Put him off and his brother, and send collectors into the cities”.
7/Al-A'raf-112:
That they may bring to you every learned sorcerer.
7/Al-A'raf-113:
And so all the sorcerers came to Pharaoh (and) said: “We must surely have a reward if we are the victors”.
7/Al-A'raf-114:
(Pharaoh) said: “Yes, and you shall certainly be of those brought near (to me)”.
7/Al-A'raf-115:
They said: “O Moses! Will you cast, or shall we be the first to cast”?
7/Al-A'raf-116:
(Moses) said: “Cast! So when they cast, they bewitched the eyes of the people and overawed them, and they produced a mighty magic”.
7/Al-A'raf-117:
And We revealed to Moses, to Cast his staff. When he cast it swallowed up all the falsehood which they faked!
7/Al-A'raf-118:
Thus was the truth vindicated and what they did was made vain.
7/Al-A'raf-119:
Thus they were vanquished there and they went back abased.
7/Al-A'raf-120:
And the sorcerers rushed to prostrate.
7/Al-A'raf-121:
They said: “We believed in the Lord of the Worlds”.
7/Al-A'raf-122:
The Lord of Moses and Aaron.
7/Al-A'raf-123:
Pharaoh said: “Did you believe in him before I have given you permission”? Indeed, this is a conspiracy which you conspired in the city to expel therefrom its people. But soon you shall come to know (learn).
7/Al-A'raf-124:
I will certainly cut off your hands and your feet from opposite sides, then I will hang you all together.
7/Al-A'raf-125:
They said: “Indeed, we are the ones who turned back to our Lord”.
7/Al-A'raf-126:
And you do not take vengeance on us except because we have believed in the Verses of our Lord when they came to us. Our Lord! Pour out on us patience and cause us to die Submitted (submission of the spirit, the physical body, the soul and the free will).
7/Al-A'raf-127:
And the eminent of Pharaoh’s people said: “Will you leave Moses and his people to make mischief in the land and to abandon you and their gods”? (Pharaoh) said: “We will kill their sons and let live their women, and we have indeed irresistible power over them”.
7/Al-A'raf-128:
Moses said to his people: “Ask help from Allah and be patient”! Verily, the earth is Allah’s. He causes such of His servants to inherit it as He wills, and the end (victory) is for the owners of piety (Takwâ).
7/Al-A'raf-129:
They said: “We have been persecuted before you came to us and since you have come to us”. (Moses) said: “It may be that your Lord will destroy your enemy and make you successors (rulers to replace them) in the earth”. Thus He will see how you act (behave).
7/Al-A'raf-130:
And certainly We overtook Pharaoh’s family with droughts and diminution of fruits that they may deliberate.
7/Al-A'raf-131:
But when good befell them, they said: “This is our right”. And when evil afflicted them, they attributed it to the ill-omen of Moses and those with him; surely their ill-omen is only from Allah, is not it? But most of them do not know.
7/Al-A'raf-132:
And they said: “Whatever verse (miracle) you may bring to us to charm us with it, we will not believe in you”.
7/Al-A'raf-133:
Therefore We sent on them the miracles, flood and the locusts and the lice and the frogs and the blood. But they behaved haughtily and they became a sinful (guilty) people.
7/Al-A'raf-134:
And when the torment fell upon them, they said: O Moses, invoke for us your Lord by a covenant (of prophet-hood) He bestowed upon you. If you remove the torment from us, we will certainly believe in you and we will certainly send away with you the Children of Israel.
7/Al-A'raf-135:
But when We remove the torment from them till a term (end) which they should attain, lo! They brake (turn away from) their word.
7/Al-A'raf-136:
Therefore We took revenge on them and drowned them in the sea because they belied our Verses and were heedless of them.
7/Al-A'raf-137:
And We made the people who were deemed weak to inherit the eastern parts of the land and the western ones which We had blessed. And the beautiful word of your Lord was fulfilled for the Children of Israel because of their patience. We utterly destroyed what Pharaoh and his people had done and what they built.
7/Al-A'raf-138:
And We made the Children of Israel to pass the sea; then they came upon a people who kept to the worship of their idols. They said: “O Moses! Make for us a god as they have their gods”. Moses said: “Surely you are a people acting ignorantly”.
7/Al-A'raf-139:
Surely they are destroyed for that which they are engaged in (their religion). And all that they are doing is in vain.
7/Al-A'raf-140:
(Moses) said: “Shall I seek for you a god other than Allah while He has made you excel the worlds”?
7/Al-A'raf-141:
And We had rescued you from Pharaoh’s family who subjected you to severe torment, killing your sons and letting your women live. And in this there was a great trial from your Lord.
7/Al-A'raf-142:
We promised Moses thirty nights and completed them with ten. So the appointed time of his Lord was completed to forty nights. And Moses said to his brother Aaron: “Take my place among my people and amend and do not follow the way of the mischief-makers”.
7/Al-A'raf-143:
And when Moses (Mûsâ) came at Our appointed time his Lord spoke to him. (Moses) said: “My Lord! Show me (Yourself), that I may look upon You”. (Allah) said: “You can never see Me, but look at the mountain. If it can stand still in its place, then you shall see Me”. When his Lord manifested to the mountain, He made it crumble and Moses fell down unconscious. Then when recovered, he said: “Glory be to You, I turn to You in repentance and I am the first of the believers”.
7/Al-A'raf-144:
(Allah) said: “O Moses! Surely I have chosen you above the mankind with My Message and with My Word. Therefore take hold of what I gave to you and be of the grateful ones”.
7/Al-A'raf-145:
And We wrote for him (Moses) on the Tablets an admonition and the detailed explanation of all things (by explaining in detail with a definite Judgment). So take hold of them firmly and enjoin your people to take hold of what is best thereof. I will show you the home of Al-Fâsiqûn.
7/Al-A'raf-146:
I will turn away from My Verses those who are unjustly proud in the earth. If they see every verse they will not believe in it. If they see the way of Rushd (immaterial maturity) they do not take it for a way, and if they see the way of Gayy (way of Hell), they take it for a way. This is because they belied our Verses and were heedless of them.
7/Al-A'raf-147:
And those who reject Our Verses and the meeting of the Hereafter (the spirit’s reaching Allah while living), their deeds are vain (null). Shall they be punished except for what they used to do?
7/Al-A'raf-148:
And the people of Moses made, after (he had gone to the Mount) him, from their ornaments a calf - an image having a lowing sound and took it (for a god). Do they not see that it did not speak to them nor guide them to a way (deliver them to Hidayet)? They took it (for a god) and they became wrong-doers.
7/Al-A'raf-149:
When it was made to fall into their hands (when they came to their senses and resented) and saw that they had fallen into Misguidance. They said: “If our Lord does not have mercy upon us and forgive us, we will surely be among the losers”.
7/Al-A'raf-150:
And when Moses returned to his people (from the Presence of Allah) wrathful (and) in violent grief (Allah had said to him that his people had deviated from the Way of Allah in 20/Tâ-hâ:85) he said to them: “What an evil successor you have been to me after me (in my absence)”! Would you hasten on the order of your Lord? And he put down the Tablets, and he seized his brother by the head, dragging him towards him. (Aaron) said: “O son of my mother! Surely (this) people did find me weak and almost killed me. Therefore make not the enemies to rejoice over me and do not make me on the same level with the unjust people”.
7/Al-A'raf-151:
(Moses) said: “My Lord! Forgive me and my brother and cause us to enter into Your mercy and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful ones”.
7/Al-A'raf-152:
Those who took the calf (for a god), surely Wrath from their Lord and humiliation in this world’s life shall come upon them, and thus do We recompense the devisers of lies.
7/Al-A'raf-153:
And those who do evil deeds (that make one lose degrees), then repent (before the religious guide-Murshid) and believe (become âmenû, wish to reach Allah before death), your Lord after that (after their having become âmenû) is indeed Oft-Forgiving (the One who changes evil deeds into merits), Most Merciful (the One who sends the light of Mercy).
7/Al-A'raf-154:
And when Moses’ anger calmed down, he took up the Tablets. In one of the Tablets was Guidance (Hidayet-reaching Allah). And that is Mercy for those who fear their Lord.
7/Al-A'raf-155:
And Moses chose out of his people seventy men for Our appointed time of meeting. When the earthquake overtook them, he said: “My Lord! If You had willed, You would have destroyed me and them before. Will you destroy us for what the foolish ones among us have done? It is only Your trial by which You leave in Misguidance whom You will, and You cause to attain to Guidance (Hidayet) whom You will. You are our Friend, so forgive us and have mercy on us, and You are the Best of the forgivers”.
7/Al-A'raf-156:
And write for us in this world and in the Hereafter (on the Day of Resurrection, on the day of true life) good (good deeds that cause us to gain positive degrees, make us gain more positive degrees than the negative degrees). Surely We have repented and turned to You. Allah said: “I afflict with My Torment whom I will and My Mercy encompasses all things. So I will write it (the good) for those who have piety and pay the alms (Zakât)”. And those, they believe in Our Verses (Mumin).
7/Al-A'raf-157:
They depend on (follow) the Messenger, the Prophet, the Illiterate (Ummi) whom they find written in the Torah (Deut, xviii 15) and the Gospel (John xix, 16). He enjoins on them Al-Ma’rûf (all that Islam has ordained, good) and forbids them Al-Munkar (all that Islam has forbidden, Evil, Wrong) and makes lawful to them all the good and clean things and makes unlawful to them all the evil and impure things. And removes from them their burdens (the heaviness of their sins by changing their sins into merits) and the fetters which were upon them (the tie that fastens the spirit to the physical body and the golden chain with 7 links on the Door of Conquest at the seventh Celestial Level). So they believed in him and honored him and helped him and followed the Light (the Qur’ân) which has been sent down with him. These it is that are the ones in Salvation (have the Bliss in the Hereafter and happiness in this worldly life).
7/Al-A'raf-158:
Say: “O mankind! Surely I am the Messenger of Allah (sent) to you all. It is Him Whose is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. There is no god but He. It is He Who gives life and causes death. Therefore believe in Allah and His Messenger, the Prophet, the Illiterate who believes in Allah and His Words. And depend on him so that you may attain to Guidance (Hidayet)”.
7/Al-A'raf-159:
And of the people of Moses, there is a Community who cause (others) to attain to the Truth (to Guidance-Hidayet) and rule justice with it (truth).
7/Al-A'raf-160:
And We divided them into twelve tribes, as nations. We revealed to Moses when his people asked him for water: ‘Strike the rock with your staff, so there gushed forth out of it twelve springs’. So that each tribe knew their drinking place. And We caused the cloud to overshadow them. And sent down for them Al-Manna and the quails. Eat of the good and clean things with which We have provided you! They did not wrong us but they used to wrong their own souls.
7/Al-A'raf-161:
And it was said to them: “Dwell in this town and eat from it wherever you wish and indicate your Repentance and enter the gate as you prostrate”. So We shall forgive your wrong-doings and even increase more for the Muhsinîn (those who have submitted their physical bodies to Allah).
7/Al-A'raf-162:
But those of them who did wrong changed the word that had been spoken to them for another saying. So We sent down upon them torment from heaven because of their wrong-doing.
7/Al-A'raf-163:
And ask them about the town that was (once) by the sea. They exceed the limits of the Sabbath (Saturday), when the fish come to them on the day of their Sabbath (on the day when the prohibition was carried out), appearing on the surface of the water. And on the day on which they do not keep the Sabbath (on the day when the prohibition was not carried out) (the fish) do not come to them. Thus did We try them because they were in Fısq.
7/Al-A'raf-164:
And when a party of them said: “Why do you admonish a people whom Allah would destroy or whom He would torment with a severe torment”? They said: “So that this should be an excuse to your Lord and that they may have piety (with this admonition)”.
7/Al-A'raf-165:
So when they forgot what they had been advised with, We rescued those who forbade evil. And We seized those who did wrong with an evil torment because they were in Fisq.
7/Al-A'raf-166:
Therefore when they revoltingly persisted in what they had been forbidden, We said to them: “Be despised apes”.
7/Al-A'raf-167:
And your Lord declared that He would certainly keep on sending against them till the Day of Resurrection those who would subject them to an evil torment. Surely your Lord is Quick to requite and most surely He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
7/Al-A'raf-168:
And We divided them up on the earth into nations. Some of them being Sâlihûn (improved ones) and some others. And We tried them with good (with good deeds that cause them to earn the positive degrees) and evil (evil deeds that cause them to earn the negative degrees) that perhaps they might return (to Allah).
7/Al-A'raf-169:
Then after them, their successors (took over). They inherited the Book. They grasp the frail goods of this low life and say: “Soon we will be forgiven (our evil deeds will be converted into merits)”. And if the like of goods came to them, they would take them as well. Was not the Covenant of the Book taken from them that they would not say about Allah anything but the truth? And they have studied (read) what is in it. The Land of the Hereafter is better for those who are the owners of piety (Takwâ). Do you not then still be mindful?
7/Al-A'raf-170:
Those who hold fast to the Book and keep up the Prayer (As-Salât). Surely We never waste the reward of those who are Sâlihûn.
7/Al-A'raf-171:
And when We raised the Mount over them to be a shadow, they thought that it was going to fall down on them. Hold firmly to what We have given you and remember (fulfill) what is in it (commands and prohibitions) so that you may be the owners of piety (Takwâ).
7/Al-A'raf-172:
And when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their backs their progeny and made them bear witness against their own souls. (Allah said:) “Am I not your Lord”? They said: “Yes, (You are our Lord) we bear witness”, lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: “Verily, we were heedless of this”.
7/Al-A'raf-173:
Or lest you should say: “It was only our fathers aforetime who associated others (with Allah) and we were an offspring after them”. Will you then destroy us for what the vain doers did?
7/Al-A'raf-174:
And thus do We explain Our Verses in detail, so that they may return (to Allah).
7/Al-A'raf-175:
And read (explain) to them the narrative of him to whom We gave Our Verses. Then he detached himself from them, so Satan caused him to depend on him (followed him up) and he became of those who went astray (harmed himself being rebellious).
7/Al-A'raf-176:
And if We had willed, We would certainly have exalted him with it (Our Verses). But he clung to the earth and followed his own vain desire (vices of his soul). So his parable is as the parable of a dog: “If you pay attention to him he pants, and if you leave him alone he still pants”. This is the parable of the people who deny Our Verses. Therefore relate the narrative that they may reflect.
7/Al-A'raf-177:
Evil is the likeness of the people who reject Our Verses. And (they) wronged their own souls.
7/Al-A'raf-178:
Whomsoever Allah guides (whomsoever Allah causes to reach Himself) he is the one who has attained to Guidance (Hidayet). And whomsoever is left in Misguidance, these are the losers (who have caused their souls to fall into Loss).
7/Al-A'raf-179:
And surely, We have prepared (created) Hell for many of the jinn and the mankind. They have hearts with which they do not understand. They have eyes with which they do not see. They have ears with which they do not hear. They are like animals. Even more misguided. Those, they are the heedless ones.
7/Al-A'raf-180:
And the Most Beautiful Names belong to Allah, therefore call on Him by them (with His attributes)! Leave those who distort (the meanings of) the Names of Allah. They will be requited for what they have been doing.
7/Al-A'raf-181:
And of those whom We have created, there is a group who guides to Truth (Allah) and rule justice therewith.
7/Al-A'raf-182:
And those who reject Our Verses, (We will draw them near to destruction) We will reduce their degrees from whence they do not know.
7/Al-A'raf-183:
And I grant them time, surely My scheme is strong (effective).
7/Al-A'raf-184:
Do they not reflect that there is no insanity (madness) in their owner. He is but a plain Warner.
7/Al-A'raf-185:
Do they not look in the Sovereignty (management) of the heavens and the earth and whatever things Allah has created, and that it may be that their own term draws near? In what word after this do they believe (become a believer)?
7/Al-A'raf-186:
Whomsoever Allah leaves in Misguidance, there is no guide (the one who causes him to attain to Guidance, to reach Allah) for him. And He leaves them alone in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on.
7/Al-A'raf-187:
They ask you about the Hour (Doomsday), when will be its taking place (its decree). Say: “The Knowledge of it is only with my Lord. None can reveal its time except Him”. It was heavy for the heavens and the earth; it does not come upon you except all of a sudden. They ask you as though you are well informed of it. Say: “Knowledge of it is with Allah only”. But most of mankind do not know.
7/Al-A'raf-188:
Say: “For myself I have no power to benefit, nor power to harm, except that which Allah wills and if I had known the Unseen, I should have certainly increased the good and no evil should have touched me. I am but a Warner and a bearer of glad tidings to a people who believe”.
7/Al-A'raf-189:
He it is Who did create you from a single soul and from it did create his mate that he might take rest with her. So when he covered her (by embracing her) she bore a light burden (got pregnant), then moved about with it. But when it became heavy, they both called upon Allah, their Lord: “If you give us an Sâlih (improved) child, we shall certainly be of the grateful ones”.
7/Al-A'raf-190:
But when We gave them an improved (Sâlih) child, they set up with Him associates in what He had given them. Yet exalted is Allah above what they associate with Him.
7/Al-A'raf-191:
Do they attribute as partners to Allah those who created nothing while they are themselves created?
7/Al-A'raf-192:
And they have no power to give help, nor can they help themselves.
7/Al-A'raf-193:
And if you call them to Hidayet (to reach Allah before death), they do not follow you. Did you call them or did you remain silent? It is the same for you (your case does not change).
7/Al-A'raf-194:
Surely those whom you call on besides Allah are servants like you. So call on them, then let them answer you if you are truthful.
7/Al-A'raf-195:
Have they feet with which they walk or have they hands with which they hold, or have they eyes with which they see, or have they ears with which they hear? Say: “Call your associates, then plot against me, and give me no respite”.
7/Al-A'raf-196:
Surely my Friend is Allah, who sent down the Book and He is the Walî (friend) of the Sâlihîn (improved ones).
7/Al-A'raf-197:
And those whom you call upon besides Allah are not able to help you, nor can they help themselves.
7/Al-A'raf-198:
And if you call them to Hidayet (to reach Allah before death) they do not hear. And you see them looking towards you, yet they do not see.
7/Al-A'raf-199:
Take to pardon (make the pardoning a method for you) and rule with divine justice and turn aside from the ignorant.
7/Al-A'raf-200:
And if a thrust from the Satan prods you, seek refuge in Allah. Surely, He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
7/Al-A'raf-201:
Those who are the owners of piety (Takwa), when a whisper from Satan troubles them, they remember (Allah, they converse with Allah) and they then see (with the faculty of seeing of their hearts’ eyes).
7/Al-A'raf-202:
And their (Satan’s) brothers plunge them further into Hell. They never give-up (on that).
7/Al-A'raf-203:
And when you do not bring them a Verse, they said: “Why have you not forged it”? Say: “I follow only what is revealed to me from my Lord”; these are the insights (the help that ensure the seeing of the hearts’ eyes) from your Lord and Hidayet (that which causes to reach Allah) and a mercy for a people who believe (for a people in the hearts of whom the Faith is written).
7/Al-A'raf-204:
And when the Qur'ân is recited, then listen to it and remain silent, that you may be delivered to Mercy.
7/Al-A'raf-205:
And remember (repeat the Name of) your Lord within yourself humbly and with fear and without being apparent in speech in the mornings, and in the evenings and do not be of the heedless ones.
7/Al-A'raf-206:
Surely, those who are with your Lord are not too proud (to worship Him and they glorify Him and prostrate themselves before Him.
