« Verse-172 »
وَإِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِن بَنِي آدَمَ مِن ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَأَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ أَلَسْتَ بِرَبِّكُمْ قَالُواْ بَلَى شَهِدْنَا أَن تَقُولُواْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِنَّا كُنَّا عَنْ هَذَا غَافِلِينَ
English Transliteration: Va iz ahaaza raabbuka min banee eadama min zuhoorihim zurriyyatahum va ashhadahum aalea anfusihim, a lastu biraabbikum, kealoo balea, shahidnea, an takooloo yavmal kıyeamati innea kunnea aan heazea geafileen(geafileena).
And when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their backs their progeny and made them bear witness against their own souls. (Allah said:) “Am I not your Lord”? They said: “Yes, (You are our Lord) we bear witness”, lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: “Verily, we were heedless of this”.
