وَجَاوَزْنَا بِبَنِي إِسْرَآئِيلَ الْبَحْرَ فَأَتَوْاْ عَلَى قَوْمٍ يَعْكُفُونَ عَلَى أَصْنَامٍ لَّهُمْ قَالُواْ يَا مُوسَى اجْعَل لَّنَا إِلَهًا كَمَا لَهُمْ آلِهَةٌ قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ قَوْمٌ تَجْهَلُونَ
English Transliteration: Va ceavaznea bi banee israaeelal baahraa fa atav aalea kaavmin yaa’kufoona aalea aasneamin lahum, kealoo yea mooseac’aal lanea ileahan ka mea lahum ealihatun, keala innakum kaavmun tachaloon(tachaloona).
And We made the Children of Israel to pass the sea; then they came upon a people who kept to the worship of their idols. They said: “O Moses! Make for us a god as they have their gods”. Moses said: “Surely you are a people acting ignorantly”.
