مَثَلُ الَّذِينَ حُمِّلُوا التَّوْرَاةَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَحْمِلُوهَا كَمَثَلِ الْحِمَارِ يَحْمِلُ أَسْفَارًا بِئْسَ مَثَلُ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ
English Transliteration: Masalullazeena hummiloot tavreata summa lam yaahmiloohea ka masalil hımeari yaahmilu asfearea(asfearan), bi’sa masalul kaavmillazeena kazzaboo bi eayeatilleah(eayeatilleahi), vaalleahu lea yahdeel kaavmaz zealimeen(zealimeena).
The likeness of those who were loaded (read the obligations of Torah) with the Torah, but who subsequently did not carry it (who did not apply it to their lives) is as the likeness of a donkey which bears loads of books. How terrible is the case of the people who belie the Verses of Allah, and Allah does not deliver the wrongdoing people to Hidayet.
