Al-Hadid, Surah The Iron (Qur'an: Surat-57-Al-Hadid)
Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem
57/Al-Hadid-1:
Whatever is in the heavens and the earth glorified (and glorifies) Allah, and He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
57/Al-Hadid-2:
His is the Dominion of the heavens and the earth. He gives life and causes death, and He has Power over all things.
57/Al-Hadid-3:
He is the Past (First) and the Future (Last), and the Outward (His signs appear on all His creatures) and the Inward (Hidden). And He is the All-Knower of everything.
57/Al-Hadid-4:
He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in Six Days. Then He rose over beyond existence. He knows what goes into the earth and what comes forth from it, and what descends from the heaven and what ascends thereto. And He is with you wherever you may be. And Allah is All-Seeing of what you do.
57/Al-Hadid-5:
His is the Dominion of the heavens and the earth. To Allah are (all) affairs returned.
57/Al-Hadid-6:
He merges the night into the day, and merges the day into the night. And He has full knowledge of whatsoever in the bosoms (secrets, intentions and thoughts).
57/Al-Hadid-7:
Believe in Allah and His Messenger, and spend out of what He has made you surrogate in it. Therefore whoever of you believes and spends, for them there is a Great Wage.
57/Al-Hadid-8:
And what is it with you that you do not believe in Allah! And the Messenger is calling you that you may believe in your Lord. If you are believers Allah has indeed taken your covenant (that earlier you have confirmed your Lord).
57/Al-Hadid-9:
He it is Who sends down clear Verses upon His servant, that He may bring you forth from darkness into glorious light; and most surely Allah is Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
57/Al-Hadid-10:
And what is it with you that you do not spend in the Way of Allah? Allah’s is the Inheritance of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you are those who spent and fought before the conquest than those who spent and fought afterwards (the conquest), they are more exalted in degrees. And Allah has promised the best to all. And Allah is All-Knowing of what you do.
57/Al-Hadid-11:
Whoever lends (for) Allah a goodly loan, that (loan) is paid back to him in multitude, and for him there is a Generous Reward.
57/Al-Hadid-12:
On that Day you see the believing men and the believing women running as their glorious light before them and on their right side. Glad tidings for you this Day is heavens under which the rivers flow, to dwell therein forever! That is the Grand Achievement (the Greatest Salvation).
57/Al-Hadid-13:
On the Day when the disbelieving men and the disbelieving women shall say to those who believe (who are âmenû): “Wait for us! Let us get some of your glorious light!” it will be told to them: “Now turn your back and seek the glorious light”! Now a wall with a gate is set before them. Inside of it, there is Mercy, and outside of it, before it (the wall), there is torment.
57/Al-Hadid-14:
They call out to them: “Were we not with you”? They said: “Yes, but you caused yourselves to fall into mischief, you waited and doubted. Vain desires deceived you till the Command (of death) of Allah came, and Garûr (the deceivers, Satan and his associates) deceived you with Allah (saying: “Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful, He will pardon you”).
57/Al-Hadid-15:
So that Day no ransom (requital) shall be taken (accepted) from you nor of those who disbelieved. Your abode is the Fire. That is your friend, and worst indeed is a destination.
57/Al-Hadid-16:
Has not the time yet come for those who believe (who wish to reach Allah while they are alive) that their hearts to have reverence with Dhikr (the remembrance) of Allah and what comes down from the Truth (with the glorious lights of Allah)? Let them not be like those who were given the Book before, but after a long time whose hearts became hardened (due to forgetting Dhikr-remembrance of Allah). Most of them are transgressors.
57/Al-Hadid-17:
Know that Allah gives life to the earth after its death. (This way)We have explained the Verses to you that you may use your intelligence.
57/Al-Hadid-18:
Surely the men who give charity and the women who give charity and those who lend (for) Allah a handsome loan (charity and loan), it shall be paid to them in multitude. And for them is a Generous Wage.
57/Al-Hadid-19:
And those who believe in Allah and His Messenger, these it is that are the loyal and the martyrs. They have their reward and their glorious lights next their Lord. And those who deny and belie Our Verses, they are the inmates of the blazing Fire.
57/Al-Hadid-20:
Know that the life of the world is only play and amusement and pageantry which is a boasting and abundance of wealth and children amongst you. (The life of the world) is like the rain that causes the vegetation to grow, which pleases the farmer. After a while it withers away and you see it turning yellow. Then it becomes garbage. There is severe torment, forgiveness from Allah and Allah’s Pleasure in the Hereafter. And the life of this world is nothing but a deceiving enjoyment.
57/Al-Hadid-21:
Race towards (to reach) Forgiveness from your Lord and heaven that the extensiveness of it is as the extensiveness of the sky and the earth which is prepared for those who believe in Allah and His Messenger. This is the Virtue of Allah. He gives it to whom He wills, and Allah is the Owner of Mighty Virtue.
57/Al-Hadid-22:
There is no calamity in the earth or in your own souls that touches you, but it is recorded in the Book before Our creating it. Surely this is easy for Allah.
57/Al-Hadid-23:
So that you may not grieve for what has come out of your hand, nor be happy (brag) with what is given to you. And Allah does not love any of the arrogant and boaster.
57/Al-Hadid-24:
They act niggardly and enjoin niggardliness on others. And whoever turns back, then surely Allah, He is All-Rich, the Most Praised.
57/Al-Hadid-25:
Certainly We sent Our Messengers with the clear proofs, and sent down with them the Book and the Balance that they may rule with justice amongst the mankind. And We have sent down the iron, wherein is great hardness in it and many benefits in it for mankind. And (this is) for Allah to know (distinguish) who will help Him and His Messengers in the Unseen (without seeing Him). Surely Allah is All-Strong, All-Mighty.
57/Al-Hadid-26:
And certainly We sent Noah and Abraham and made Prophets from their offspring the and (gave) Book. So some among them are those who have reached Hidayet, and most of them are Fasiqûn (transgressors).
57/Al-Hadid-27:
Then We sent Our Messengers in succession upon their foot- steps. And We sent Jesus, son of Mary and gave him the Bible. And We put in the hearts of those who depended on him compassion and mercy. And they associated him with priesthood. We did not prescribe to them but seeking Allah’s Pleasure. Yet they did not obey it with its due right. So We gave to those of them who believed (who were âmenû, who wished to reach Allah before death) their reward, and most of them were Fâsiqûn (transgressors).
57/Al-Hadid-28:
O you who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to reach Allah before death), be the owners of piety towards Allah and believe in His Messenger that He may give you a double portion of His Mercy. And make (give) you a glorious light which you will walk with. And forgive you (convert your evil deeds into merits). And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
57/Al-Hadid-29:
It is because the People of the Book did not know that they had no power over the Virtue of Allah, and that His Grace is entirely in His Power, and He gives it to whom He wills. And Allah is the Owner of Mighty Virtue.
