Adh-Dhariyat, Surah The Wind that Scatter (Qur'an: Surat-51-Adh-Dhariyat)

Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem

51/Adh-Dhariyat-1: By those winds that blow and scatter!

51/Adh-Dhariyat-2: And those that bear the burden (the clouds loaded with rain).

51/Adh-Dhariyat-3: Then those that glide (float) easily.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-4: Also (by) those who distribute (the affairs) by Command (the angels that are commissioned).

51/Adh-Dhariyat-5: Verily, that which you are promised is absolutely true.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-6: And verily the Religion (Reckoning; the Reward or Punishment) will most surely happen.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-7: And by the skies full of circular routes.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-8: Most surely you are in a controversial speech (opinion).

51/Adh-Dhariyat-9: He is who is turned away, gets reversed from it. (

51/Adh-Dhariyat-10: Cursed be the liars.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-11: They are those who are in heedless ignorance.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-12: They ask: “When is the Day of Religion (recompense)”?

51/Adh-Dhariyat-13: That Day, they shall be tormented thrown in the Fire (due to their mischief making)!

51/Adh-Dhariyat-14: Taste your mischief (what you have belied)! This is what you have sought to hasten on.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-15: Surely the owners of piety are in heavens and water-springs.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-16: Those who have taken what their Lord has given them; surely they are the ones who became Muhsinîn (the good-doers) before that.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-17: They are the ones whose thing (time) is very little to sleep of the night.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-18: And they ask for forgiveness in the hours before dawn.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-19: And in their possessions there are the rights of those who ask and of those who are deprived (who cannot ask).

51/Adh-Dhariyat-20: And in the earth there are Signs (of Allah) for those who are Al-Mûqinîn (have certainty).

51/Adh-Dhariyat-21: And in your own souls (there are Signs) too. Do you still not see?

51/Adh-Dhariyat-22: And in the heaven is your sustenance and that which you are promised.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-23: Therefore by the Lord, the heaven and the earth; that is most surely the truth, as much as what you speak.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-24: Has the news of Abraham’s honored guests come to you?

51/Adh-Dhariyat-25: When they entered upon him, they said: “Peace”! (Abraham also) said: “Peace, foreign tribe”.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-26: Upon that (Abraham) went to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-27: So he brought (offered) it (the food) to them, said: “Will you not eat”?

51/Adh-Dhariyat-28: But he felt fear of them. They said: “Do not fear”! And they gave him glad tidings of a son having knowledge.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-29: Then his wife reacted (to this news) crying and striking her face, she said: “I am an old barren woman”!

51/Adh-Dhariyat-30: They said: “This is what your Lord commands”. Surely He is the All-Wise, All-Knowing.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-31: (Abraham) said: “What do you intend to say then, O Messengers”!

51/Adh-Dhariyat-32: They said: “Surely We have been sent to a guilty people”.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-33: To send down upon them stones of clay.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-34: They are those (stones) that are marked by your Lord for the extravagant.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-35: Then We brought forth of the believers from therein.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-36: But We did not find therein but a single house of those who are Muslims.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-37: And We left therein a proof for those who fear the painful torment.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-38: And in Moses (too, there are proofs). We had sent him to Pharaoh with clear Sultan (miracle).

51/Adh-Dhariyat-39: But he turned away his face along with people around him and said: “He is either a magician or a mad man”.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-40: Finally, We seized him and his army and hurled them into the sea, blamed.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-41: And in (the people of) Âd (there were proofs). We had sent upon them a terminating wind.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-42: (That wind) did not leave anything on which it blew upon, but it made it like ashes.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-43: And in (the people of) Thamûd (there were proofs). They were told: “Enjoy yourselves for a while”.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-44: But they strayed away from the Commandment of their Lord. Upon that, the thunderbolt overtook them while they were looking on.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-45: Then they were not able to stand up, nor were they ‘the helped’ ones.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-46: And before that the people of Noah too. Surely they were a transgressing people.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-47: And the sky; We built it with great Might and most surely We are the One Who expands (it).

51/Adh-Dhariyat-48: And the earth; We have made it a mattress. How Excellent Organizer!

51/Adh-Dhariyat-49: And of everything We have created two pairs (with its opposite). It is hoped that you may reflect.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-50: So flee to Allah (escape and take refuge in Him). Surely I am a plain Warner to you from Him.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-51: And do not set up with Allah other gods. Surely I am a plain Warner to you from Him.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-52: Likewise, no Messenger came to those before them but they said: “A magician or a mad man”.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-53: Have they willed this (to say “a magician or a mad man” to the Messengers, to the upcoming generations)? Nay, they are an extravagant people.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-54: Then turn aside from them, you are not to be blamed.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-55: And remind with advice. Surely the reminder benefits the believers.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-56: And I have created the jinn and the mankind (for no other reason but only) that they should become servants to Me.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-57: I do not ask from them (any) sustenance and I do not ask that they should feed Me either.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-58: Surely Allah, He is the Provider, Owner of Power, the Most Strong.

51/Adh-Dhariyat-59: So surely the (torment) portion of those who do wrong is like the (torment) portion of their companions. Therefore let them not ask Me to hasten (the torment) on.
