An-Nisa, Surah The Women (Qur'an: Surat-4-An-Nisa)
Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem
4/An-Nisa-1:
O mankind! Have piety (taqwa) towards your Lord, Who created you from a single soul (Adam may peace be upon him) and from him created his mate and from the two of them dispersed a multitude of men and women. Have piety towards Allah by whose Name you request one of another and be careful of the wombs (the rights of kinship). Surely, Allah is Watcher over you.
4/An-Nisa-2:
And give to the orphans their property, do not exchange the clean (permissible) for the bad (prohibited) and do not consume their property (by adding it) to your own property; this is surely a great sin.
4/An-Nisa-3:
And if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, then marry two, three, four (other permissible) women that you like; but if you fear that you will not do justice (between them), then be pleased with (concubines) what you have with you. That is more appropriate for you not to part from justice.
4/An-Nisa-4:
And give to the women their “Mahr” (obligatory bridal money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage) willingly; but if they remit any part of it to you graciously, then take it in satisfaction and ease.
4/An-Nisa-5:
And do not give the riotous your property, which Allah has made a means of sustenance for you, but provide for them with it and clothe them and speak to them with words of kindness
4/An-Nisa-6:
Put the orphans to the test until they reach the age of marriage; then if you find in them sound judgment, release them their property and do not consume it extravagantly and hastily, lest they grow up (take their property back) and if (the guardian) is rich, let him be honest (let him abstain altogether) but if he (the guardian) is poor, let him eat on reasonably based on the customs. Then when you release their property to them, take witness in their presence; and Allah is All-Sufficient as Reckoner.
4/An-Nisa-7:
Of what the parents and the near relatives leave (heritage), there is a portion for the men. And of what the parents and the near relatives leave (heritage), there is a portion for the women. Be it (heritage) little or much, an obligatory share.
4/An-Nisa-8:
And when the (distant) relatives (whom the heritage does not fall) and the orphans and the needy are present at the time of division (of the inheritance) give their provision, and speak to them kind words.
4/An-Nisa-9:
And let those fear as if they had left weak offspring behind and feared for them (that they would be exposed to injustice). So let them fear Allah and speak words of justice (righteousness).
4/An-Nisa-10:
Verily, those who unjustly eat up the property of the orphans, they eat up only fire into their bellies, and they soon shall be put into the Blazing Fire!
4/An-Nisa-11:
Allah enjoins you concerning (the heritage for) your children: to a male, a portion equal to that of two females; and if they are more than two females, then their share is two–thirds of the inheritance, and if there is one (woman) her share is half; and if the deceased had a child, each parent shall have the sixth of the inheritance. But if he has no child and only his two parents inherit from him, then his mother shall have the third (the remaining is for his father). But if he has siblings, then his mother shall have the sixth after a bequest he may have bequeathed or debt. You do not know which of your parents or your children is nearer to you in usefulness; these (fixed shares) are an ordinance from Allah; And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
4/An-Nisa-12:
And for you is the half of what your wives (women) leave if they have no child. But if they (women) have a child, then for you is one fourth. This is after (payment of) any bequest they may have bequeathed or a debt. And to them (women) belongs the fourth of what you leave if you have no child; but if you leave a child, then for them is an eighth of what you leave after (payment of) a bequest you may have bequeathed or a debt. And if a man or a woman leaves property to be inherited by neither parents nor offspring, and he (or she) has a brother or a sister, then each of the two shall have the sixth, but if they are more than that, they shall be sharers in the third after (payment of) any bequest that may have been bequeathed or a debt as long as there is no detriment (to anyone). (These are) the devise (to you) from Allah; and Allah is All-Knowing, Most-Gentle.
4/An-Nisa-13:
These are the limits of Allah; and whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger, He will cause them to enter Heavens beneath which the rivers flow, to abide in them forever; and this is Fevzul Azîm (the greatest salvation).
4/An-Nisa-14:
And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger and goes beyond His limits, He will cause them to enter Fire to abide in it forever and for him there is an abasing torment.
4/An-Nisa-15:
And as for those who commit prostitution from among your women, ask (against them) four witnesses from among you; then if they bear witness, then confine them to the houses until death takes them away or Allah opens some way for them.
4/An-Nisa-16:
And the two who commit it (indecency) among you, cause them both Calvary. If they repent and improve, turn aside from them (from Calvary); surely Allah is All-Forgiving, Most-Merciful.
4/An-Nisa-17:
But the repentance that Allah will accept is only for those who do evil in ignorance and quickly turn to Allah in repentance, so these are whom Allah accepts their repentance, and Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
4/An-Nisa-18:
And repentance is not for those who go on doing evil deeds until, when death comes to one of them, he says: “Surely now I repent”; nor for those who die while they are unbelievers. For them We have prepared a painful torment.
4/An-Nisa-19:
O you who believe (who wish to reach Allah before death)! It is not lawful for you to take women (whose husbands have died and who are your near relatives) as heritage against their will, and do not straiten them in order that you may take part of what you have given them (Mahr), unless they are guilty of manifest indecency. And treat them kindly. Then if you dislike them, it may be that you dislike a thing while Allah has placed abundant good in it.
4/An-Nisa-20:
And if you wish to replace a wife by another and you have given one of them a heap of gold (as Mahr) then do not take from it anything; would you take it (what you promised) by slandering and manifest sin?
4/An-Nisa-21:
And how could you take it while you have gone in unto each other and they have taken from you a solemn covenant?
4/An-Nisa-22:
And do not marry women whom your fathers married, except what has already passed; this surely is indecent and hateful and it is an evil way.
4/An-Nisa-23:
Forbidden to you (for marriage) are: your mothers, and your daughters, and your sisters; and your father’s sisters and your mother’s sisters, and your brother’s daughters and your sister’s daughters and your foster mothers, and your foster-sisters, and your mothers-in law, and your step-daughters who are under your protection (born) of your women unto whom you have gone in-but if you have not gone in to them, then it is no sin for you (to marry their daughters). And the wives of your sons who (spring) from your own loins, and that you should have two sisters together, except what had already happened in the past. Surely Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
4/An-Nisa-24:
And to marry all married women (are forbidden to you) except the concubines in your possession (female prisoners of war). (These are) Allah’s ordinances (obligations) to you. And lawful for you are (all women) besides those, provided that you seek (them) the chaste ones with your property (offering Mahr) taking (them) in marriage not committing fornication. Then as to those whom you would like to be with, give them their Mahr as prescribed. But after this obligation, if you agree mutually, then there is no sin on you. Surely, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
4/An-Nisa-25:
And whoever of you is not able to afford to marry from the free, believing women, then he may marry from among your believing young concubines in your possession and Allah knows best your faith; you are (sprung) the one from the other. So marry them with the permission of their masters and give them their Mahr on a reasonable basis within their customs. As they should be chaste, not adulterous nor receiving secret boy-friends, when they are taking them in marriage. If they are guilty of adultery, then they shall suffer half (the punishment) which is upon free women. This (permission to marry a concubine) is for him among you who fears to commit adultery. And to have patience would be better for you. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
4/An-Nisa-26:
Allah wishes to make clear to you and guide you to the laws of those before you and accept your repentance, and Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise (the Owner of Judgment and Wisdom).
4/An-Nisa-27:
Allah wishes to accept your repentance, but those who follow their lusts, wish that you should be inclined to the lusts with a great inclination.
4/An-Nisa-28:
Allah wishes to lighten (your burden by accepting your repentance) from you and man was created weak.
4/An-Nisa-29:
O you who believe (who are âmenû)! Do not eat up your property among yourselves falsely (unjustly) except that it be trading by your mutual consent. And do not (commit suicide) kill yourselves (one another). Surely Allah is Most Merciful to you.
4/An-Nisa-30:
And whoever does this with hostility and unjustly, We will soon prop him up against the Fire and this is easy for Allah.
4/An-Nisa-31:
If you avoid the great sins which you are forbidden, we will remit from you your evil deeds and make you enter (an honorable) place where you will be served.
4/An-Nisa-32:
And do not covet that by which Allah has made some of you excel others; for the men there is a share of what they have earned, and for the women there is a share of what they have earned; and ask Allah of His Virtue. Surely, Allah is All-Knowing.
4/An-Nisa-33:
And to every one We have appointed heirs of what the parents and near relatives leave; and as for those to whom your oaths have been tied, give them their share as well; surely Allah is a Witness over all things.
4/An-Nisa-34:
The men are the maintainers (and protectors) of the women because Allah has made some of them to excel the others and because they spend out of their property (for the women as bridal-money and livelihood). Therefore the improved women (the women who do the soul’s cleansing) are devoutly obedient, and as Allah has guarded (their property and chastity) they (too) guard in the unseen (in their husband’s absence themselves as well as their husband’s property and honor). As for those (women) from whom you fear disobedience (opposition) admonish them (first) and leave them alone in their beds (then) and (if they go on disobeying) hit them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely, Allah is Most Exalted, the Greatest.
4/An-Nisa-35:
If you fear a divergence between the two (husband and wife), then appoint an arbiter from his family and an arbiter from her family. If they both (husband and wife) wish for reconciliation, Allah will make them successful in their reconciliation. Surely, Allah is All-Knowing, Well-Acquainted with all things.
4/An-Nisa-36:
And be servants to Allah and do not associate any thing with Him. Be nice to the parents and to the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the next-door neighbor and the neighbor that lives far and your companion (spouse) and the stranded and those whom your right hands possess (slaves, concubines, workers); surely Allah does not love the arrogant, the boastful.
4/An-Nisa-37:
Those who are niggardly and command others to be niggardly and hide what Allah have given them extra. And We have prepared for the disbelievers a disgraceful torment.
4/An-Nisa-38:
And those who spend their property to be show off to others and do not believe in Allah and the Last Day (the Latter Day the spirit’s returning back to Allah in this lifetime) and whoever takes Satan as a close friend, then what an evil associate he is!
4/An-Nisa-39:
And what would it have done, if they had believed in Allah and the Last Day (spirit’s returning back to Allah before death) and spent of what Allah had given them (for Allah)? And Allah knows them the best.
4/An-Nisa-40:
Surely Allah does not wrong even of the weight of an atom and if you do a single good deed He multiplies it and gives from Himself a great Reward (compensation).
4/An-Nisa-41:
How (will be their state) then, when We bring from every people a witness (a Messenger) and bring you as a witness against them?
4/An-Nisa-42:
On the Day of Permission (Doomsday) those who disbelieve and disobey the Messenger wish that they were leveled with the earth and they shall not hide the word (that they denied) from Allah.
4/An-Nisa-43:
O you who believe (who are âmenû)! Do not approach the Prayer when you are intoxicated until you know what you say, nor when you are under an obligation to perform a total ablution (when you are in state of impurity following sexual relations and before bathing) unless travelling, until you perform a total ablution. And if you are ill, or on a journey or one of you comes from the privy or you have touched the women, and you can not find water, perform Tayammum with clean earth and rub your faces and your hands with it. Surely, Allah is Oft-Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving.
4/An-Nisa-44:
Have you not seen those to whom a portion of the Book has been given? They buy Misguidance and wish that you should deviate from the Way (of Allah) (fall into Misguidance).
4/An-Nisa-45:
Allah knows best your enemies and Allah suffices as a Protecting Friend, and Allah suffices as a Helper.
4/An-Nisa-46:
Of those who are Jews alter words (in the Torah) from their places and say: “We have heard and we disobey” and: “Hear, may you not be made to hear”! And “Raina” (listen to us, in the Jewish language: idiot), distorting (the word) with their tongues and taunting the Religion and if they had said (instead): “We have heard and we obey”; hear you and look at us, it had been better for them and more suitable; but Allah cursed them on account of their unbelief, so they do not believe but a few.
4/An-Nisa-47:
O you who have been given the Book! Believe in what We have sent down conforming what is with you (the Torah and the Gospel) before We efface faces, then turn them on their backs, or curse them as We cursed the violators of the Saturday (Sabbath) and the Commandment of Allah has been executed (fulfilled).
4/An-Nisa-48:
Verily, Allah does not forgive to be associated partners with Him. And forgives what is besides that for whomsoever He wills; and whoever associates anything with Allah, he has indeed slandered with a tremendous sin.
4/An-Nisa-49:
Have you not seen those who attribute purity to their souls? (Who claim that they have cleansed their souls’ hearts)? Nay, Allah only cleanses the soul of whom He wills; and they shall not be wronged (even) the hair upon a date-seed.
4/An-Nisa-50:
See how they forge a lie against Allah, and this is sufficient as a manifest sin.
4/An-Nisa-51:
Have you not seen those to whom a portion of the Book has been given? They believe in el-Djibt (Oracles and Idols) and at-Tâgût (human and jinn satans) and say of those who disbelieve: “These are better guided in the path than those who believe”.
4/An-Nisa-52:
Those are they whom Allah has cursed, and whomever Allah curses, you shall not find any helper for him.
4/An-Nisa-53:
Or have they a share in the Sovereignty? Then in that case they would not give to the men even a seed.
4/An-Nisa-54:
Or do they envy people for what Allah has given them of His Virtue (Blessing)? But indeed We have given to Abraham’s family (lineage) the Book and the wisdom, and we have given them a Grand Kingdom.
4/An-Nisa-55:
So of them is he who believes in him and of them is he who turns away from him and Hell is sufficient (to disbelievers) as blazing fire.
4/An-Nisa-56:
Those who disbelieve in our Verses, We shall make them enter Fire soon; so oft as their skins are thoroughly burned, We shall exchange them for other skins, that they may taste the torment; truly, Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.
4/An-Nisa-57:
And those who believe (who are âmenû) and do improving deeds (cleanse and refine the souls’ hearts), We will make them enter Heavens beneath which the rivers flow, to abide in them forever; there are for them purified mates and We shall make them enter under a nice shade.
4/An-Nisa-58:
Surely Allah commands you to render back the trusts (i.e. the spirit, the physical body, the soul and the free will) to His Owner (to Allah) and that when you judge between people you judge with justice. Surely Allah admonishes you with what is excellent; surely Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
4/An-Nisa-59:
O you who believe (who are âmenû)! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those of you who are in authority (who are authorized to give orders) from among you, then if you dispute about anything, refer it to Allah and His Messenger, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day. This is better and is the best in respect of interpretation.
4/An-Nisa-60:
Have you not seen those who pretend that they believe in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down before you, and They wish to be judged before Taghut, while they were commanded to reject him (Satan), and the Shaitan (Satan) wish to lead them astray into a remote Misguidance.
4/An-Nisa-61:
And when it is said to them: “Come to what Allah has sent down (the Qur’an) and to the Messenger”, you see the hypocrites turn from you with aversion.
4/An-Nisa-62:
But how will be their state when misfortune befalls them on account of what they have done with their own hands? Then they come to you swearing by Allah and saying: We did not desire anything but good and conciliation.
4/An-Nisa-63:
These are they of whom Allah knows what is in their hearts; therefore turn aside from them and admonish them and speak to them effectual (nice) words concerning themselves.
4/An-Nisa-64:
We sent no Messenger except that he should be obeyed by the Permission of Allah. And if, when they wronged their souls they had but come to you and asked forgiveness of Allah and the Messenger had also asked forgiveness for them , they would have certainly found Allah (accepting both requests) Oft-Forgiving (accepting their repentance and the Messengers request for their forgiveness), the Most Merciful.
4/An-Nisa-65:
But no, by your Lord, they do not believe until they make you a judge of that which has become a matter of disagreement between them and then they do not find any discomfort in their hearts as to what you have decided, and submit in full submission.
4/An-Nisa-66:
And if We have prescribed for them: “Kill your own souls or go forth from your homes”, they would not have done it except a few of them; and if they had done what they were admonished, it would have certainly been better for them and best in strengthening (their Faith).
4/An-Nisa-67:
And then We would certainly have given them from Our Presence an immense reward (a Grand Wage).
4/An-Nisa-68:
And We would certainly have guided them to Sıratı Mustakîm (the Path that delivers to Allah).
4/An-Nisa-69:
Whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger, they are with those to whom Allah has granted a Blessing, of the Prophets and the Sıddîk (truthful) and the martyrs and the Sâlihîn (improved ones). The best of company are they.
4/An-Nisa-70:
This is such a Virtue from Allah and Allah is Sufficient as All-Knowing.
4/An-Nisa-71:
O you who believe (who are âmenû, who wish to render their spirits back to Allah before death)! Take your weapons, then go forth in detachments or go forth in a body to war.
4/An-Nisa-72:
And there is certainly among you he who would linger behind (delays on going to war) If then a misfortune befalls you he says: “Surely Allah conferred a blessing on me that I was not martyred with them”.
4/An-Nisa-73:
But if a grace (victory) comes to you from Allah, he will surely say, as if there had never been between you and him any conversation. "Oh, I wish I had been with them so I could have achieved a great success (a good share of booty)”.
4/An-Nisa-74:
So let those fight in the cause of Allah who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter, and whoever is killed fighting in the Way of Allah or is victorious, We shall grant him a Mighty Reward (an Immense Wage).
4/An-Nisa-75:
And what reason have you that you should not fight in the Way of Allah and of the weak among the men and the women and the children, who say: “Our Lord! Cause us to go forth from this town, whose people are oppressors, and give us from your Presence a friend and helper”.
4/An-Nisa-76:
Those who believe (who are âmenû) fight in the Way of Allah, and those who disbelieve fight in the way of the Tâgût. Fight therefore against the friends of the Shaitan (Satan); surely the plot of Satan is weak.
4/An-Nisa-77:
Have you not seen those to whom it was said: “Hold back your hands (from fighting), and keep up the Prayer and pay alms”; but when fighting is prescribed for them (as an obligation), behold! A party of them fears men as they ought to have feared Allah, or (even) with a greater fear, and say: “Our Lord! Why have you ordained fighting for us? If only You had postponed it for us for a short time”? Say, “the benefit of this world is little and the Hereafter is better for him who has piety (takwâ) and you shall not be wronged even equal to the smallest thread in the long slit of a date-seed.
4/An-Nisa-78:
Wherever you may be, death will reach you even if you are in fortresses built up strong and high. Yet if some good befalls them, they say: “This is from Allah” and if an evil befalls them, they say: “This is from you”. Say: “All is from Allah”. But what is wrong with these people that they fail to understand the word?
4/An-Nisa-79:
Whatever of good befalls you is from Allah and whatever evil befalls you is from your own soul (due to doing something on your own that will make you lose degrees) and We have sent you as a Messenger to mankind; and Allah Sufficient as a Witness.
4/An-Nisa-80:
Whoever obeys the Messenger, he indeed obeys Allah; and whoever turns back, so We have not sent you as a guardian over them.
4/An-Nisa-81:
And they say: “(we pledge) Obedience”. But when they go out of your presence, a party of them spend all night in planning other than what you say; and Allah writes down what they plan by night, therefore turn aside from them and put your trust in Allah, and Allah is All-Sufficient as a Surrogate.
4/An-Nisa-82:
Do they not then ponder on the Qur’an? If it had been from other than Allah they would have found in it many contradictions.
4/An-Nisa-83:
And when any news of security or fear come to them, they disclose it; whereas if they had referred it (the news) to the Messenger or to those charged with authority (if they had not disclosed it to all the people), those among them who are able to search out the news would have known it (the truth). If it had not been for the Virtue of Allah and His Mercy, all but a few of you would have certainly followed Satan.
4/An-Nisa-84:
Then fight (Strive) in the Way of Allah; you are not responsible except for your own soul and encourage the believers (Mü'min). Perhaps Allah will restrain (from you) the might and attack of those who disbelieve and Allah is Stronger in Might and Stronger in inflicting punishment.
4/An-Nisa-85:
Whoever helps with a good intercession will have a portion of it (of this good) and whoever helps with an evil intercession (to commit sin) will have a share of it (of this evil). And Allah is All-Seeing.
4/An-Nisa-86:
And when you are greeted with a greeting, greet with a better greeting than it or return it in a like manner. Surely Allah is the Best Accountant over all things.
4/An-Nisa-87:
Allah! There is no god except Him. He shall gather you all on the Doomsday which there is no doubt and who is more truthful than Allah in statement?
4/An-Nisa-88:
What is the matter with you, then, that you have become two parties about the hypocrites, while Allah has made them return back (to unbelief) for what they have earned (the negative degrees). Do you wish to guide (deliver to Hidayet) those whom Allah has caused to fall into Misguidance? And he whom Allah causes to fall into Misguidance, never will you find for him a way.
4/An-Nisa-89:
They yearn that you should disbelieve as they have disbelieved, so that you might be all alike (equal, at the same level); therefore do not take from among them friends until they emigrate in the Way of Allah; but if they turn back, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them. And do not take from among them a friend or a helper.
4/An-Nisa-90:
Except for those who take refuge with a people between yourselves and whom is a treaty, or who come to you, as their hearts shrinking from fighting you or fighting their own people (do not kill them); and if Allah had willed, He would have given them power over you, so that they should have certainly fought you; therefore if they withdraw from you (retreat) and do not fight you and offer you peace, then Allah has not given you a way against them (to attack).
4/An-Nisa-91:
You will find others who desire that they should be safe from you and secure from their own people. Every time they are called to Fitnah (disbelief), they fell back into it; therefore if they do not withdraw from you and offer you peace and restrain their hands, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them; and We have given you a clear authority (to attack them).
4/An-Nisa-92:
It is not (permissible) for a believer to kill a believer except by mistake; and whoever kills a believer by mistake, he should set free a believing slave and compensation payment should be given to the family of the slain, unless they remit the compensation payment as alms. But if he (who killed a man by mistake) is from a tribe hostile to you and he is a believer, shall free a believing slave; and if he is from a tribe between whom and you there is a covenant, the compensation should be paid to his people along with the freeing of a believing slave; but he who can not fulfill these should fast for two months successively in order to seek repentance from Allah. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
4/An-Nisa-93:
And whoever kills a believer intentionally, then his punishment is Hell; he shall abide in it forever; Allah has sent His Wrath on him and cursed him and He has prepared for him a great torment.
4/An-Nisa-94:
O you who believe (who are âmenû)! When you go out (to fight) in the Way of Allah, investigate to bring out into the open (in order to distinguish the believers from non-believers) and do not say any one who greets you (surrenders) aspiring for the goods of worldly life: you are not a believer, seeking the perishable goods of the worldly life. But with Allah there are abundant booties. You too were such before, then Allah conferred a blessing upon you; therefore investigate and bring out; surely Allah is Well-Aware of what you do.
4/An-Nisa-95:
Those of the believers who sit (and do not go to war) other than those who have an excuse, are not equal with those who strive hard (and fight) in the Way of Allah with their wealth and lives; Allah has made the strivers with their property and their lives to excel over those who remain behind, by degrees, and Allah has promised “Husna” (the most excellent) to all; But Allah has preferred the Mujahideen over those who remain behind with a Mighty Reward (Wage).
4/An-Nisa-96:
(For the striving) there are degrees, forgiveness and mercy from Him; and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (manifests with His Mercy attribute).
4/An-Nisa-97:
Surely those whom the angels cause to die who wrong their souls, they asked; in what (condition) were you? (They) said: “We were weak (powerless) in the Earth”. They (the angels) said: “Was not Allah’s earth spacious, so that you should have migrated therein”? For those, their destination is Hell - and evil it is as a destination.
4/An-Nisa-98:
Except for the weak (powerless) among men, women and children who cannot find a resolution nor be directed to a way (for emigration).
4/An-Nisa-99:
For those it is expected that Allah will pardon them, and Allah is Oft-Pardoning, Oft-Forgiving.
4/An-Nisa-100:
And whoever emigrates for the cause of Allah will find on the earth many spacious locations; and whoever goes forth from his house as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him, his reward is indeed with Allah and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
4/An-Nisa-101:
And when you journey in the earth there is no sin on you if you shorten the prayer, if you fear that those who disbelieve will cause you harm; surely the disbelievers are an open enemy to you.
4/An-Nisa-102:
And when you are among them and keep up the prayer for them, let a party of them stand up with you (for prayers), and let them take their arms; then when the others have prostrated themselves let them stand behind you. And let the other party who has not prayed come forward and pray with you and let them take their precautions and their arms. Those who disbelieve desire that you may be careless of your arms and your armour, so that they may then turn upon you with a sudden attack. And there is no sin on you, if you are annoyed with rain or if you are sick that you may lay down your arms. And take your precautions; surely Allah has prepared a disgraceful torment for the disbelievers.
4/An-Nisa-103:
And when you have completed the prayer, remember Allah standing, sitting, or lying (down) on your sides; but when you are in safety, keep up the prayer in congregation; surely the prayer is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours as an obligation.
4/An-Nisa-104:
And do not relent in pursuit of the people (who are your enemy), if you suffer pain, then surely they also suffer pain as you suffer pain, and you hope from Allah what they do not hope; and Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
4/An-Nisa-105:
Surely, We have sent down to you the Book with the truth that you may judge between people by means of that which Allah has shown you; and so do not be with the treacherous.
4/An-Nisa-106:
And seek Allah’s forgiveness. Surely Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (manifests with His the Most Merciful Attribute).
4/An-Nisa-107:
And do not argue on behalf of those who deceive themselves. Verily, Allah loves not one who is habitually a sinful deceiver.
4/An-Nisa-108:
They may hide from the people, but they can not hide from Allah; He is with them when they plot by night in speech that He does not accept. And Allah ever encompasses what they do (their deeds).
4/An-Nisa-109:
Behold, this is what you are! You have argued for them in this world’s life, but who will argue for them on the Day of Resurrection against Allah, or who will be then a defender for them?
4/An-Nisa-110:
And whoever does evil or wrongs his own soul, then asks forgiveness of Allah, he will then find Allah Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
4/An-Nisa-111:
And whoever earns sin, he earns it only against his own soul (as negative degree). And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise (the Owner of Judgment and Wisdom).
4/An-Nisa-112:
And whoever commits a fault or a sin, then blame it on to one who is innocent, he indeed takes upon himself the burden of a calumny and a manifest sin.
4/An-Nisa-113:
And were it not for Allah’s Virtue and Mercy upon you, a party of them had certainly would have determined to mislead you but they can mislead none except themselves and they shall not harm you in any way; and Allah has sent down to you the Book and the Wisdom and He has taught you what you did not know, and Allah’s Virtue on you is very great.
4/An-Nisa-114:
There is no good in most of their secret talks. Except those who enjoins charity or goodness or reconciliation between people; and whoever does this seeking Allah’s Pleasure, We will give him a Mighty Reward.
4/An-Nisa-115:
And whoever opposes the Messenger after the guidance (Hidayet) has become manifest (explained) to him, and follows other than the way of the believers, We will turn him to that he was on before and lean them against Hell; and evil it is as a destination.
4/An-Nisa-116:
Indeed, Allah does not forgive associating anything with Him, and He forgives everything else besides this to whom He wills; and whoever associates anything with Allah, he indeed strays off into a remote Misguidance.
4/An-Nisa-117:
They call upon instead of Him (Allah) none but female (idols that they name as females) and they do not call on anything but Satan, the persistent rebel!
4/An-Nisa-118:
Allah has cursed him (Satan); and he (Satan) said: “I will surely take from among Your servants a specific portion”.
4/An-Nisa-119:
And most certainly I will leave them astray and surely I will excite in them delusion (fantasy) and surely I will command them. And they will slit the ears of cattle, and I will command them so they will change the creation of Allah; and whoever takes Satan for a friend instead of Allah, has surely suffered a manifest loss.
4/An-Nisa-120:
(Satan) makes them promises and excites in them delusions (fantasies), and Satan does not promise them except delusion.
4/An-Nisa-121:
For such their dwelling-place will be Hell, and they shall not find any refuge from it.
4/An-Nisa-122:
And those who believed (who became âmenû) and did improving deeds (cleansed their souls’ hearts), We will make them enter into Heavens beneath which the rivers flow, to abide therein forever; Allah’s Promise is righteous (true), and who is more truthful than Allah in statement?
4/An-Nisa-123:
It is not in accordance with your Vision nor in accordance with the visions of the people of the Book; whoever does wrong, he shall be punished with it, and besides Allah he can not find for himself neither a protecting friend nor a helper.
4/An-Nisa-124:
And whoever does ameliorating deeds (cleansing of the soul’s heart) whether male or female as a believer; these shall enter Heaven and they shall not be wronged even to the size of a speck on the back of a date seed.
4/An-Nisa-125:
And who can be better in religion than one who follows the religion of Abraham as a Hanîf and submits himself (his physical body) to Allah and become Muhsin. And Allah took Abraham as an intimate friend!
4/An-Nisa-126:
And whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is Allah’s; and Allah is the One who encompasses all things (with His Knowledge and Mercy).
4/An-Nisa-127:
And they ask your Fetwa (legal ruling) concerning the women. Say: “Allah makes known to you His Ruling concerning them, and that which has been explained to you in the Book (in the Verses) concerning female orphans whom you do not give what is appointed for them while you desire to marry them, and concerning the weak among the children, and that you should deal towards the orphans with equity; and whatever good you do, Allah surely knows it the best”.
4/An-Nisa-128:
And if a woman fears negligence from her husband, or turning away from her, there is no sin upon them if they make terms of settlement between them and reconcile, and peace and reconciliation is better. And the souls have been created ready (inclined) towards niggardliness (jealousy and greed). And if you be good and have piety (takwa), surely Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do.
4/An-Nisa-129:
And you will never be able to be just between wives, even if you should strive, so do not incline too much to one of them so as to leave the other hanging, and if you reconcile and have piety, then surely Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
4/An-Nisa-130:
And if they separate, Allah will enrich (bless with His provision) them from His Abundance (they will not be in need), and Allah is All-Embracing (His Mercy and Beneficence are Ample), All-Wise (the Owner of Judgment and Wisdom).
4/An-Nisa-131:
And whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is Allah’s and certainly We enjoined those who were given the Book before you and you too that you should have piety towards Allah. And even if you disbelieve, then surely whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is Allah’s. And Allah is All-Rich (does not need anything), Praiseworthy.
4/An-Nisa-132:
And whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is Allah’s and Allah is All-Sufficient as Surrogate.
4/An-Nisa-133:
If He wills, O mankind! He can make you pass away (destroy) and bring others. And Allah is omnipotent to do that.
4/An-Nisa-134:
Whoever desires the reward of the world (even if he fights in order to obtain the property, the booty of this world), then with Allah is the reward of the world and the Hereafter (if he desires also the Pleasure of Allah) And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
4/An-Nisa-135:
O you who believe (who are âmenû)! Be the witnesses of justice for Allah’s sake, even though it may be against your own selves or your parents or near relatives; if rich or poor. Allah is nearer to them both, therefore, do not follow your vain desires (ego), to be just. And if you bend your tongues (if you change the truth) and turn aside (from the truth, justice) then surely Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do.
4/An-Nisa-136:
O you who believe (who are âmenû)! Believe in Allah, and His Messenger and the Book which He has sent down to His Messenger and the Book He sent down before; and whoever disbelieves in Allah, and His Angels, and His Messengers and the Latter Day, he indeed strays off into a remote Misguidance.
4/An-Nisa-137:
Surely they believed (became âmenû) then disbelieved (denied), again believed and again disbelieved. Then, increased their disbelief. Allah will not forgive them nor guide them to Sıratı Mustakîm (the Path directed to Allah).
4/An-Nisa-138:
Give to the disbelievers the tidings that for them there is a painful torment.
4/An-Nisa-139:
Those who take the disbelievers for friends instead of the believers. Do they seek honor with them? Then surely all honor belongs to Allah.
4/An-Nisa-140:
And indeed He has sent down to you in the Book (the Qur'ân) that when you hear Allah’s Verses disbelieved (denied, rejected) in and mocked at, do not sit with them until they engage in some other discourse; surely then you would be like them (if you sit with them); surely Allah is the One who will gather together the hypocrites and the disbelievers all in Hell.
4/An-Nisa-141:
They watch you closely, then if there is for you a victory from Allah they say: “Were we not with you”? And if there is for the disbelievers some share from the victory they say: “Did we not be a shield over you? And did we not protect you (from what may come) from the believers”? Allah will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection; and Allah by no means gives the disbelievers a way against the believers.
4/An-Nisa-142:
Surely the hypocrites seek to trick Allah but it is Allah who tricks them. And when they stand up to prayer, they stand up sluggishly to show off to the people and do not remember Allah but little.
4/An-Nisa-143:
They flounder between these (disbelief and belief). They are neither with these nor with those. And whomever Allah leaves in Misguidance, you shall not find a way for him (you can not deliver them to the Sıratı Mustakîm which will make them reach Allah).
4/An-Nisa-144:
O you who believe (who wish to deliver their spirits back to Allah before death)! Do not take the disbelievers for friends instead of the believers; would you wish to offer Allah an open proof against yourselves?
4/An-Nisa-145:
Surely the hypocrites are in the lowest depth of the Fire; and you will find no helper for them.
4/An-Nisa-146:
Except those who repent and improve (cleanse their souls’ hearts) and hold fast to Allah and make their religion pure for Allah. Those are then with the believers, and Allah will soon grant the believers a Mighty Reward.
4/An-Nisa-147:
Allah should not torment you if you are grateful and believe (if you wish to reach Allah in this life and if you take pledge of allegiance to your Murshid and thus you become a believer as ‘Faith’ is written into your heart). And Allah is All-Appreciating (responds to thankfulness), All-Knowing.
4/An-Nisa-148:
Allah does not love the public utterance of hurtful speech except by one who has been wronged. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
4/An-Nisa-149:
If you reveal good or conceal it or pardon an offense, then surely Allah is Oft-Pardoning, All-Powerful.
4/An-Nisa-150:
Surely those who disbelieve in Allah and His Messengers and wish to make distinction between Allah and His Messengers. And say: “We believe in some and reject others. And wish to take a way in between (belief and disbelief)”.
4/An-Nisa-151:
Those are the true disbelievers, and We have prepared for the disbelievers a disgraceful torment.
4/An-Nisa-152:
And those who believe in Allah and His Messengers and do not make a distinction between any of them. Their rewards will be given to them soon; and Allah is Oft-Forgiving (the One who changes sins into merits) and the Most Merciful (manifests Himself with His Merciful attribute).
4/An-Nisa-153:
The People of the Scripture ask you to bring down to them a book from the heaven. Yet indeed they demanded from Moses a greater thing than that, when they said: “Show us Allah outright”. The thunderbolt overtook (destroyed) them on account of their injustice. Then they took the calf (for a god) after clear arguments (miracles) had come to them; but We still pardoned them; and We gave Moses a clear authority (Sultan).
4/An-Nisa-154:
And We lifted over them the Tur (Mount Sinai) for their covenant and We said to them: “Enter through this gate prostrating”. And We said to them: “Do not exceed the limits of the Saturday (Sabbath)” and We took from them a firm covenant.
4/An-Nisa-155:
This is because of their breaking their covenant and their disbelief in the Verses of Allah and their killing the Prophets wrongfully and their saying: our hearts are covered. Nay! Allah set a seal upon them (their hearts) for their disbelief, so they shall (can) not believe except a few.
4/An-Nisa-156:
And their disbelief and saying against Mary is a tremendous calumny.
4/An-Nisa-157:
And their saying: “Surely we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah (is a tremendous calumny)”. And they did not kill him nor did they crucify him, but he (the man who was killed) appeared to them like him (Mary’s son Messiah Jesus) and most surely those who differ therein are only in a doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except a conjecture; and they did (could) not kill him for sure.
4/An-Nisa-158:
Nay! Allah raised him up to Himself and Allah is All-Powerful, All-Wise (the Owner of Judgment and Wisdom).
4/An-Nisa-159:
And nevertheless the People of the Book (Jews who denied him and Christians who claims him to be Allah’s son) will most certainly believe in him before his death. And on the Day of Resurrection, he shall be a witness against them.
4/An-Nisa-160:
Because of the Jews’ tormenting and keeping others from the way of Allah, We made unlawful for them certain good and clean things which were made lawful to them.
4/An-Nisa-161:
This is because of their taking usury (Ribâ) though they were forbidden it and their consuming the property of the men falsely; and We have prepared for the disbelievers from among them a painful torment.
4/An-Nisa-162:
But those of them who are well-grounded in knowledge and the believers, believe in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down before you. And those who keep up the prayer and those who give alms (Az-Zakât), the believers in Allah and the Last Day, these it is whom We will give a Mighty Reward.
4/An-Nisa-163:
Surely We have revealed to you as We revealed to Noah (Nûh) and the Prophets after him; and We revealed to Abraham and Ishmael, Isaac (Ishâq), Jacob (Ya’kûb) and his offspring, Jesus, Job (Ayyûb), Jonah (Yûnus), Aaron (Hârûn) and Solomon (Sulaimân). And to David (Dâwûd) We gave the Zabûr (Psalms).
4/An-Nisa-164:
And We also revealed to Messengers We have mentioned to you before and Messengers We have not mentioned to you. And to Moses (Mûsâ) Allah addressed His word, speaking (to him).
4/An-Nisa-165:
(They are) the Messengers as bearers of good news and as warners so that mankind should have no argument against Allah after the Messengers; and Allah is All-Powerful, All-Wise.
4/An-Nisa-166:
But Allah bears witness by what He has sent down unto you (Qur’an) with His Knowledge. And the angels bear witness too. And Allah is sufficient as a Witness.
4/An-Nisa-167:
Surely those who disbelieve and hinder (cause others astray) from the Way of Allah, they indeed have strayed off into a remote Misguidance (as they have not reached their own religious guides).
4/An-Nisa-168:
Surely those who disbelieve and do wrong (who hinder others from finding their religious guides and cause them to deviate from Allah’s Way) Allah will not forgive them nor guide them to the path (Sıratı Mustakîm that delivers to Allah).
4/An-Nisa-169:
Only (delivers) to the path of Hell, to abide in it forever, and this is easy to Allah.
4/An-Nisa-170:
O mankind! Surely the Messenger has come to you with the truth from your Lord, therefore believe (become âmenû, wish to render your spirits back to Allah before death), (this is) good for you; and even if you disbelieve, then surely whatever is in the heavens and in the earth is Allah’s; and Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise (the Owner of Judgment and Wisdom).
4/An-Nisa-171:
O People of the Book! Do not exceed the limits in your religion and do not speak (lies) against Allah but (speak) the truth; the Messiah Jesus, son of Mary is only a Messenger of Allah and His Word. (Holy Spirit) conveyed that to Mary and he is a spirit (from Holy Spirit); believe therefore in Allah and His Messengers, and do not say: “Three (gods; the father, the son and the Holy Spirit) desist, it is better for you”. Allah is only one Deity. Exalt Him above having a son; whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His; and Allah is All-Sufficient as a Surrogate.
4/An-Nisa-172:
The Messiah never abstains from being a servant of Allah nor do the angels who are near to Him. And whoever abstains and disdains becoming a servant to Him, He will gather them altogether to Himself.
4/An-Nisa-173:
Then as for those who believe (who become âmenû, who wish to render their spirits back to Allah before death) and do ameliorating deeds (cleansing of their souls’ hearts), He will pay them fully their rewards; and increases for them from His Virtue; and those who abstain and disdain, will be tormented with a painful torment. And they shall not find for them, besides Allah a protecting friend and a helper.
4/An-Nisa-174:
O mankind! Surely there has come to you a manifest proof from your Lord and We have sent to you a manifest Glory.
4/An-Nisa-175:
Then as for those who believe (who become âmenû, who wish to render their spirits back to Allah before death) and hold fast to Him, He will cause them to enter into His (glory of) Mercy and Virtue and guide them to Sıratı Mustakîm a Path that delivers to Himself.
4/An-Nisa-176:
They ask you for a legal ruling. Say: “Allah gives you a decision concerning the kelâle (person who has neither parents nor children). If it is a man that dies leaving a sister, but no child, she shall have half of what he leaves. And he shall be her heir if she has no son. If there are two sisters, they shall have two-thirds of what he leaves; and if there are many brothers and sisters, the male will have twice the share of the female. Allah makes it clear to you lest you get lost. Allah is All-Knowing of all things”.
