Saba, Surah Sheba (Qur'an: Surat-34-Saba)
Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem
34/Saba-1:
Praise is due to Allah, Whose is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and to Him is due praise in the Hereafter. And He is the All-Wise, the All-Aware.
34/Saba-2:
(Allah) knows whatever goes down into the earth and whatever comes forth from it, what descends from the heaven and what ascends to it. And He is the Most Merciful (the One Who sends the glorious light of Mercy), the Oft-Forgiving (the One who changes evil deeds into merits).
34/Saba-3:
And those who disbelieve said: “The Hour (the Day of Resurrection) shall not come to us”. Say: “Nay, my Lord Who Knows the Unseen shall certainly bring that upon you. Not the weight of an atom (even) remains hidden from Him in the heavens and in the earth. Neither less than that nor greater, but all is in a Clear Book.
34/Saba-4:
(The coming of the Hour is for) that He may reward those who believe (who wish to reach Allah before death) and do improving deeds (do the soul’s cleansing). These it is for whom is Forgiveness and an honorable (generously offered) sustenance.
34/Saba-5:
And as for those who strive hard in defying Our Verses, these it is for whom is a torment of filthy agony!
34/Saba-6:
And those to whom the knowledge has been given see that what is sent down to you from your Lord is the truth and that it guides (delivers) to the Path of the All-Mighty, the Praised (Allah) (Sıratı Mustakîm).
34/Saba-7:
And those who disbelieve said: “Shall we point out to you a man who informs you that, when you are scattered with the utmost scattering (when your body decayed after dying), you shall then be most surely created into a new creation”?
34/Saba-8:
Has he slandered against Allah with a lie? Or is there madness in him? Nay, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are in the Torment and in the Remote Misguidance.
34/Saba-9:
Do they not see what is before them and what is behind them of the heaven and the earth? If We will, We make them sink in the earth, or cause a piece from the sky to fall upon them. Most surely there is a Sign (lesson) in this for every servant turned (to Allah by wishing to reach Him).
34/Saba-10:
And certainly We gave David from Us a Virtue (We purified his soul). O mountains, turn to Me with him and o the birds (you too)! And We made the iron soft to him too.
34/Saba-11:
Make long (wide) armors (that covers the body) and design it in form of knit (rings of chain), and do improving deeds (do the soul’s cleansing through Dhikr)! Truly, I am All-Seer of what you do.
34/Saba-12:
And the wind with a morning course that is a month’s journey and an evening course that is a month’s journey was for Solomon (given to his command). We caused the molten copper to flow out from its source for him. And of the jinn there were those who worked for him by the Permission of his Lord. Whosoever of them turn aside from Our Command, We made him taste of the torment of the blazing fire.
34/Saba-13:
They were making for him what he willed of sanctuaries (palaces, masjids, tall buildings) and statues and basins as large as reservoirs and fixed cauldrons. O family of David work giving thanks! And very few of My servants are grateful.
34/Saba-14:
When We decreed death for him, nothing showed his death to them but a termite that ate away his staff. Only when he fell down, it (his death) became clear to the jinn (then the jinn understood he was dead). If they had known the Unseen, they would not have stayed in the humiliating torment.
34/Saba-15:
The two gardens on the right and on the left was indeed a Sign (lesson) for Saba (Sheba nation) in their dwelling-place. Eat of the sustenance of your Lord and give thanks to Him! (That is) a fair land. And (Allah is) an Oft-Forgiving Lord!
34/Saba-16:
But they turned aside. So We sent upon them Arim flood, and We converted their two gardens into gardens producing bitter fruit, no fruit and a few of timbers.
34/Saba-17:
Thus We punished them because of their denial. Do We punish any but the disbelievers?
34/Saba-18:
And We made between them and the towns which We had blessed towns near each other, and We apportioned paths to journey therein. (We said) travel through them safely nights and days.
34/Saba-19:
But they said: “Our Lord! Make spaces to be longer between our journeys” and they wronged themselves. So We made them as tales (narrated from generation to generation) and scattered them with an utter scattering. Most surely there are Signs (lessons) in this for every very patient, grateful one.
34/Saba-20:
And certainly Iblis (Lucifer) did prove true his conjecture (he fulfilled his purpose). So they followed (depended on) him (Satan), all except a group of believers.
34/Saba-21:
And he (Lucifer) had no authority (influence) over them that We may know him who believes in the Hereafter (in making his spirit reach Allah while he is living) from him who is in doubt concerning it (We tested them with Lucifer). And your Lord is the Preserver of all things.
34/Saba-22:
Call upon those whom you assert (you consider as gods) besides Allah! They do not possess even a particle’s weight either in the heavens or in the earth, nor have they any partnership in either (in the heavens and in the earth), nor is there for Him (Allah) from among them any helper.
34/Saba-23:
And intercession does not profit in His Presence except for him He permits. When fear is banished from their hearts, they said: “What is it that your Lord said”? They said: “The truth”. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.
34/Saba-24:
Say: “Who gives you the sustenance from the heavens and the earth”? Say: “Allah”. And most surely we or you are on Hidayet or in manifest Misguidance.
34/Saba-25:
Say: “You will not be asked of the crimes we committed, nor shall we be questioned of what you did”.
34/Saba-26:
Say: “Our Lord will gather us together, then will He open (judge) between us with the truth”. And He is the Fettah (the One who Judges with Righteousness), the All-Knowing.
34/Saba-27:
Say: “Show Me those whom you have joined as associates” (the idols that you have associated with Allah). By no means. Nay (they cannot be associated with Allah)! He is Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
34/Saba-28:
And We have not sent you except as a giver of glad tidings and a Warner to all mankind (in the universe), but most people do not know.
34/Saba-29:
And they say: “When is this promise (the Day of Resurrection) if you are truthful”?
34/Saba-30:
Say: “You cannot postpone the hour of the Day that is (appointed) for you for an hour nor put forward”.
34/Saba-31:
And those who disbelieve said: “We never believe in this Qur’an or in that which in between his hands (in the Gospel). If you could see when the wrongdoers are arrested before their Lord. They exchange words amongst each other! Those who were put down say to those who were arrogant: “Had it not been for you, we would certainly have been believers”.
34/Saba-32:
Those who were arrogant said to those who were put down: “Did we turn you away from the Hidayet after it had come to you”? Nay, you (yourselves) were sinners (guilty).
34/Saba-33:
And those who were put down said to those who were arrogant: “Nay, (your job was) plotting by night and day. You were ordering us to disbelieve in Allah and to set up equals to Him”. They conceal their regret when they see the torment. We put shackles on the necks of those who disbelieved. Do they get punished with anything except what they used to do?
34/Saba-34:
There is no place that We did not send a Warner. But those who led lives in ease (notables) of every country did not say anything but: “We are surely the disbelievers in what you are sent with”.
34/Saba-35:
And they said: “We are more than you in wealth and children, and we shall not be tormented”.
34/Saba-36:
Say: “Surely my Lord enlarges the sustenance for whom He wills and straitens (for whom He wills), but most people do not know”.
34/Saba-37:
And your wealth or your children are not valuable enough to bring you to Our presence, except those who believe (who wish to reach Allah while they are living) and does improving deeds (does the soul’s cleansing). These it is for whom is a double reward for what they do, and they are the secure ones in high ranks.
34/Saba-38:
And those who strive in rendering weak (invalid) Our Verses; they shall be present in the torment (for worse torment).
34/Saba-39:
Say: “Surely my Lord enlarges the sustenance for whom He wills of His servants and straitens (for whom He wills), and whatsoever you spend for His sake, (then) He replaces it, and He is the Best of the providers.
34/Saba-40:
And on that Day He will gather them all together, then He will say to the angels: “Were these who worshipped you”?
34/Saba-41:
They (the angels) said: “Glory be to You! They are not our Friend but You. Nay! They were worshipping the jinn. Most of them are the believers in them (in what the jinn said)”.
34/Saba-42:
So on that Day you will possess no use nor harm one for another. We will say to those who were unjust: “Taste the torment of the Fire which you used to deny (belie)”.
34/Saba-43:
And when Our Verses were recited (read and explained) to them clearly, they said: “This is naught but a man who desires to turn you away from that which your fathers used to worship”. And they said: “This is nothing but a lie that is forged”. And those who disbelieved said of the truth when it came to them: “This is nothing but evident magic”.
34/Saba-44:
And We have not given them any Books which they study, nor did We send to them before you a Warner (a Prophet who warns).
34/Saba-45:
And those before them (denied) belied (too) and they have not (even) attained a tenth of what We gave them. Yet, they still denied (belied) Our Messengers. Then how was My denial (punishment)?
34/Saba-46:
Say: “I sermon you only one thing. Rise up (stand up) for Allah in pairs and singly, then ponder (reflect)”. There is no madness in your owner (companion). He is only a Warner to you for the severe torment before you (that will come to you).
34/Saba-47:
Say: “I did not ask any wage of you. Then let it (that wage) be yours. My wage (reward) is only with Allah and He is a Witness over all things”.
34/Saba-48:
Say: “Verily my Lord brings (serves) the truth, the All-Knower of the (anything) Unseen.
34/Saba-49:
Say: “The truth has come and it cannot either originate the false hood or bring (it) back”.
34/Saba-50:
Say: “If I am in Misguidance, I am in Misguidance upon (because of) my own soul, and if I attain Hidayet, it is because of what my Lord reveals to me”. Surely, He is All-Hearing, Ever Near (to all things).
34/Saba-51:
And if you see when they are terrified. Then there shall be no escape and they are seized upon from a near place (to hell).
34/Saba-52:
And they said: We believe in Him”. How is the attaining (of faith) be possible to them from a distant place (to have Hidayet, from Misguidance)?
34/Saba-53:
And they had disbelieved in it before, and they hurled empty (words) at the Unseen from a distance place (from Misguidance).
34/Saba-54:
And a gulf (barrier) is set between them and that which they desired, as was done with the likes of them before. Surely they were in a worrying doubt.
