قَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ آيَةٌ فِي فِئَتَيْنِ الْتَقَتَا فِئَةٌ تُقَاتِلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ وَأُخْرَى كَافِرَةٌ يَرَوْنَهُم مِّثْلَيْهِمْ رَأْيَ الْعَيْنِ وَاللّهُ يُؤَيِّدُ بِنَصْرِهِ مَن يَشَاء إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لَّأُوْلِي الأَبْصَارِ
English Transliteration: Kaad keana lakum eayatun fee fiataynil takaatea fiatun tukeatilu fee sabeelilleahi va uhrea keafiraatun yaraavnahum mislayhim raa’yal aayn(aayni), vaalleahu yooayyidu bi naasrihee man yashea’(yasheau) inna fee zealika la ibratan li uleel absear(abseari).
There has already been a lesson for you in the two parties that met on the battlefield (the Battle of Badr). One party fighting in the Way of Allah and the other disbelieving. They saw them to be twice their own number by (their) eyesight; and Allah strengthens with His Aid whom He wills; most surely there is a lesson in this for the (owners of) insight.
