28/Al-Qasas-1: Tea seen meem., 28/Al-Qasas-2: Tilka eayeatul kiteabil mubeen(mubeeni)., 28/Al-Qasas-3: Natloo aalayka min nabai moosea va fir’aavna bil haakkı li kaavmin yu’minoon(yu’minoona).
Al-Qasas, Surah The Narration (Qur'an: Surat-28-Al-Qasas)
Bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem
28/Al-Qasas-1:
Tâ, Sîn, Mîm.
28/Al-Qasas-2:
These are the Verses of the Manifest Book (the Book that explains).
28/Al-Qasas-3:
We will recite to you from the news of Moses and Pharaoh with truth for a people who believe.
28/Al-Qasas-4:
Surely Pharaoh was in the land (a king in Egypt) and made its people into parties, weakening some among them (Jews), slaughtering their sons and letting their women live. Surely he was one of the mischief makers.
28/Al-Qasas-5:
And We wish(ed) to bestow a Blessing upon those who were deemed weak in the land, and make them the Imams (religious leaders) and make them the heirs.
28/Al-Qasas-6:
To establish them in the earth (land), to grant them power and to make Pharaoh and Haman and their armies see from them (the Children of Israel) what they feared.
28/Al-Qasas-7:
And We revealed to Moses’ mother (saying): “Suckle him (Moses), then when you fear for him, then cast him into the river and do not fear nor grieve surely We will bring him back to you and make him one of the Messengers”.
28/Al-Qasas-8:
So Pharaoh’s family took him up that he might become an enemy and trouble for them. Surely Pharaoh, Haman and their armies were the ones who would deliberately commit crime.
28/Al-Qasas-9:
And Pharaoh’s wife said to him: “a joy of the eye for me and for you, do not kill him perhaps he may be of benefit to us, or we may adopt him as a son”. And they were not aware (of the reality).
28/Al-Qasas-10:
And the morning arrived to Moses’ mother as her heart of was empty. She would have almost disclosed it if We had not connected her heart (if We had not established a connection with her heart) so that she could be of the believers.
28/Al-Qasas-11:
(Moses’ mother) said to his elder sister: “Follow him up”. So she watched him from a distance while they did not perceive.
28/Al-Qasas-12:
And earlier We had already forbidden (other) foster suckling mothers to him (We made him not to suckle) so she (his elder sister) said: “Shall I direct you to a household who will undertake his care for you and they will be benevolent to him”?
28/Al-Qasas-13:
So we gave him back to his mother that her eye may be comforted, and that she might not grieve, and she might know that the Promise of Allah is true, but most of them do not know.
28/Al-Qasas-14:
And when he attained his maturity and became full grown, We gave him wisdom and knowledge. This is how We reward the Al-Muhsinin (good-doers).
28/Al-Qasas-15:
And he (Moses, before wisdom was given to him) went into the city at a time of inattention by its people (without any one perceived him). He found therein two men fighting, one being of his party and the other of his enemies. Then he who was of his party asked him for help against him who was of his enemies. So Moses struck him with his fist (killed him). So it (death) was fulfilled. Moses said: “This is of the devil s doing. Surely he is an enemy, leaving openly in Misguidance”.
28/Al-Qasas-16:
He said: “My Lord! Surely I have wronged my soul, so forgive me”. Then He forgave him. Surely He is the Oft-Forgiving, the Most Merciful (the One that manifests with His Mercy attribute).
28/Al-Qasas-17:
He said: “My Lord! Because of what You have bestowed on me as blessings, I shall never be a backer of the guilty (shall not help them)”.
28/Al-Qasas-18:
So he waited for the morning in the city (fearing) watchful. But he who had appealed to him the day before cried out to him for help; Moses said to him: “Verily, you are a plain rampageous”!
28/Al-Qasas-19:
So when he desired to seize him who was an enemy to them both, he said: “O Moses! Do you intend to kill me like the person you killed yesterday? If you do (want to kill), then you will be nothing but a tyrant in the land and you do not desire to be of the reconcilers”.
28/Al-Qasas-20:
And a man came running from the remotest part of the city. He said: “O Moses! Surely the elites (of the city) are consulting together to kill you; therefore escape (from the city). Surely I am of the good advisers to you”.
28/Al-Qasas-21:
So he escaped from there, fearing, vigilant (of his surroundings). He said: “My Lord! Deliver me from the wrongdoing people”.
28/Al-Qasas-22:
And when he turned towards (the city of) Midian (Medyen), he said: “I hope my Lord will guide (deliver) me to the designed way”.
28/Al-Qasas-23:
And when he came to the water of Midian he found on it a group of people taking water, and he found besides them two women keeping (their flocks from water). He said: “What is the matter with you”? They said: “We cannot water (our flocks) until the shepherds take away (their flocks) from the water, and our father is a very old man”.
28/Al-Qasas-24:
So he watered (their flock), then went back to the shade and said: “My Lord! Surely I stand in need of whatever you may send down to me as good”.
28/Al-Qasas-25:
Then one of the two women came to him bashfully. She said: “My father invites you that he may give you the reward of your having watered (our flock)”. So when (Moses) came to him, told him his story. (The old man) said: “Do not fear! You are saved from the wrong-doing people”.
28/Al-Qasas-26:
One of the two women said: “O my father! Hire him. Surely he is better, stronger and more faithful from those you hired”.
28/Al-Qasas-27:
(The old man) said: “I surely like to marry one of these two daughters of mine to you on condition that you should work for me for eight years with wage. But if you complete ten, it will be (a favor) from you. And I do not wish to force you. If Allah wills, you will find me one of the improved ones (Salihin)”.
28/Al-Qasas-28:
(Moses) said: “This is between you and me. Whichever of the two terms I fulfill let there be no enmity to me. And Allah is Surety over what we say”.
28/Al-Qasas-29:
So when Moses had fulfilled the term, he left (walking) with his family. He perceived on the side of mount Tur a fire. He said to his family: “Wait, I have surely seen a fire, maybe I will bring to you from it some news or a brand of fire, so that you may warm yourselves”.
28/Al-Qasas-30:
So when he came to it, he was called from the right side of the valley in the blessed spot of the tree: “O Moses! Surely I am Allah, the Lord of the Worlds”.
28/Al-Qasas-31:
“And cast down your staff”! So (when he cast his staff) he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent. He turned in flight and did not look back. “O Moses! Turn (back)! And do not fear surely you are of those who are secure”!
28/Al-Qasas-32:
Enter your hand into your bosom, bring it forth white flawless. (Be free of) fear; draw your wings (hands) to yourself. These two are two indisputable arguments (proofs) from your Lord to Pharaoh and his notables. Surely they are the people who are Fasiqun (disobedient to Allah, those who are not in the Way of Allah, or have gone out of it).
28/Al-Qasas-33:
(Moses) said: “My Lord! Surely I killed one of them, so I fear lest they should kill me”.
28/Al-Qasas-34:
And my brother Aaron, he is more eloquent in speech than I. And send him with me to confirm me and to be a helper to me. Surely I fear that they would deny (belie) me.
28/Al-Qasas-35:
(Allah) said: “We will strengthen you with your brother, and We will make you Sultans (give you both an authority), so that they shall not reach (stand against) Our Signs (miracles). You two and those who follow (have depended on) you shall be the victors”.
28/Al-Qasas-36:
So when Moses brought Our Clear Signs, they said: “This is nothing but forged enchantment, and we never heard of it from our fathers of old”.
28/Al-Qasas-37:
And Moses said: “My Lord knows best who comes with Hidayet from His Presence, and whose shall be the end of the worldly home. Surely the wrong-doers do not have to Salvation”.
28/Al-Qasas-38:
And Pharaoh said: “O notables! I do not know of any god for you other than me. Kindle a fire for me upon the clay (bake bricks out of clay). So set up for me a (high) tower so that I may obtain knowledge of Moses’ God, and most surely I deem him to be one of the liars”.
28/Al-Qasas-39:
And he and his army were unjustly arrogant in the earth, and they deemed that they would never be brought back to Us.
28/Al-Qasas-40:
Then We seized him and his army and cast them into the sea. So see how the end of the unjust was.
28/Al-Qasas-41:
And We made them Imams (religious leaders) who call to Fire, and on the Day of Resurrection they shall not be helped.
28/Al-Qasas-42:
And We caused the Curse to get to them behind them in this world. And on the Day of Resurrection they shall be of those made to stay away (from Allah s Mercy).
28/Al-Qasas-43:
And certainly We gave Moses the Book (Torah) after We had destroyed the former generations, being insights for men (that their hearts’ eyes to begin to sight) and a Hidayet and Mercy (that Allah should manifest Himself with His Name of Most Merciful). It is hoped that they might deliberate.
28/Al-Qasas-44:
And you (O Muhammad)! You were not on the western side when we fulfilled to Moses the Commandment and you were not among the witnesses (among those who had seen the event).
28/Al-Qasas-45:
But We built up (created) generations. Long were their lives. (While) you were not dwelling among the people of Madian, you recite to them (your Companions) Our Verses. But it is We Who is sending (those news to you).
28/Al-Qasas-46:
And you were not on this side of the Mount Tur when We called (Moses). But as a Mercy from your Lord that you may warn a people to whom no Warner (Prophet) came before you. It is hoped that they deliberate.
28/Al-Qasas-47:
And were it not that a calamity should befall them for what their hands have sent before, then they should say: “Our Lord! If only you should have sent to us a Messenger so that we would have followed your Verses and been of the believers” (then We would not have sent you as a Messenger Prophet).
28/Al-Qasas-48:
But when the truth has come to them from Our Presence, they said: “Why is he not given the like of what was given to Moses”? Did they not deny before what Moses was given? They said: “Two magic backed up (supported) each other and surely we are the deniers all”.
28/Al-Qasas-49:
Say (to them): “Then bring a Book from the Presence of Allah that yields to Hidayet better than both of them, (that) I may depend on it, if you are truthful”.
28/Al-Qasas-50:
Then if they do not answer you (if they do not comply with your call to make them reach Hidayet), know that they only follow their low desires. Who is in more Misguidance than he who follows his low desires without any person of Hidayet from Allah? Surely Allah does not deliver the unjust people to Hidayet.
28/Al-Qasas-51:
And certainly We have caused the word to reach them, in order that they may deliberate.
28/Al-Qasas-52:
Those whom We gave the Book before, they believe in it (in the Noble Qur an).
28/Al-Qasas-53:
And when it (the Qur an) is recited to them, they said: “We believed in it surely it is the truth from our Lord. Surely we were also submitted ones (to Allah) before that”.
28/Al-Qasas-54:
These are them; their reward shall be given twice over, because of their patience. And they repel the evil with the good, and spend out of what We have given them as (immaterial) sustenance.
28/Al-Qasas-55:
And when they heard vain talk, they turned aside from it and said: “For us are our deeds and for you your deeds, peace be on you, we do not desire (to be with) the ignorant (We do not show interest in the ignorant)”.
28/Al-Qasas-56:
Surely you cannot deliver to Hidayet whom you love (you cannot make their spirit reach Allah), but Allah delivers whom He wills to Hidayet and He knows best those who have reached Hidayet.
28/Al-Qasas-57:
And they said: “If we follow the Hidayet with you, we would be exiled away from our land”. Have we not settled them in a safe, sacred (respected) territory to which crops of every kind are brought as sustenance from Our Presence? But must of them do not know (that these are from the Divine Presence).
28/Al-Qasas-58:
And how many nations have We destroyed, which rampaged, was thankless for its means of life. These are their dwellings they have not been dwelt in after them except a little, and We, their inheritors is Us.
28/Al-Qasas-59:
And your Lord was never a destroyer to the nations and their main city until He raised in a Messenger, reciting to them our Verses. And We were never a destroyer to the nations except when their people were unjust (tyrants).
28/Al-Qasas-60:
And whatever things you have been given are only a provision (material) of the life of the world and its ornament, and whatever is in Allah’s Presence is better and more lasting. Do you not then use your mind?
28/Al-Qasas-61:
Is he to whom We have promised a goodly promise which he shall meet with it be like him whom We have provided with the provisions of this world’s life, then on the Day of Resurrection he shall be of those who are made to be present (to be reckoned).
28/Al-Qasas-62:
On that Day (Allah) shall call unto them and say: “Where are those whom you assumed to be my associates”?
28/Al-Qasas-63:
Those about whom the Word of torment will have come true will say: “These are they whom we led rampant. We led them rampant too as we were rampant ourselves. We present to you that we are clear (free) of them. They were not worshipping us (they were following their souls-low desires)”.
28/Al-Qasas-64:
And it is said to them: “Call your associates”! So they called upon them. But they did not answer them and they saw the torment. If only they had had Hidayet!
28/Al-Qasas-65:
And on that Day (Allah) will call to them and say: “What was the answer you gave to the Messengers (when you were alive)”?
28/Al-Qasas-66:
On the Day of Permission the news (the book of deeds, the numbered book) are closed to them. After that they shall not be questioned (they shall not be interrogated).
28/Al-Qasas-67:
It is hoped that those who repent (before the Murshid-the religious guide) and believe (become Amenu for the second time) and do improving deeds (do the soul’s purification) to have reached Salvation due to that.
28/Al-Qasas-68:
And your Lord creates whatever He wills and chooses. The right to choose is not theirs. Glory be to Allah and exalted be He above what they associate (with Him).
28/Al-Qasas-69:
And your Lord knows what their bosoms conceal and what is known (what they do not conceal).
28/Al-Qasas-70:
And He is Allah that; there is no god but Him! All praise is due to Him in the former (in this world) and in the latter (in the Hereafter), and His is the Judgment, and to Him you shall be brought back.
28/Al-Qasas-71:
Say: “Have you seen (thought)? If Allah were to make the night to continue incessantly on you till the Day of Resurrection, who is the deity besides Allah that could bring you light? Do you still not then hear”?
28/Al-Qasas-72:
Say: “Have you seen (thought)? If Allah were to make the day to continue permanently on you till the Day of Resurrection, who is the deity besides Allah that could bring you the night in which you take rest? Do you still not then see”?
28/Al-Qasas-73:
And out of His Mercy He has made for you the night and the day, that you rest therein and that you may seek of His Virtue. And it is hoped that you may be grateful.
28/Al-Qasas-74:
And on that Day (Allah) shall call unto them and say: “Where are those whom you assumed to be my associates”?
28/Al-Qasas-75:
And We brought forth from among every nation a witness. Then said: “Bring your indisputable arguments (proofs)”. So they knew (understood) that the truth is Allah’s, and that which they forged departed from (deserted) them.
28/Al-Qasas-76:
Surely Qarun was of the people of Moses. Then he rampaged against them. We gave him treasures whose keys would burden a band of strong men. His people had said to him: “Do not exult (be arrogant) surely Allah does not love the exultant (arrogant).
28/Al-Qasas-77:
And seek the Abode of the Hereafter in that which Allah has given you, and do not forget your portion of this world (too). Bestow (give without expecting anything in return) as Allah has bestowed on you and do not seek (cause) mischief in the earth. Surely Allah does not love the mischief-makers.
28/Al-Qasas-78:
(Qarun) said: “This (wealth) has been given to me only because of the knowledge I possess”. Does he not know that Allah had destroyed before him of the generations who were mightier in strength than he and greater in the amount (of riches) they had collected? And the guilty shall not be questioned of their sins.
28/Al-Qasas-79:
So he went forth to his people in his finery (in his great pomp). Those who were desirous of the life of the world said: “We wish we had the like of what Qarun has been given! Verily he is the owner of a great happiness”.
28/Al-Qasas-80:
And those who were given the knowledge said: “Woe to you! Allah’s reward is better for him who believes (who is Amenu, who wishes to reach Allah before death) and does improving deeds (does the soul’s cleansing). None is made to reach this (better reward) except the ones who are patient”.
28/Al-Qasas-81:
Then We caused the earth to swallow up him and his palace. He had no body of helpers to assist but Allah, nor was he of those who are helped.
28/Al-Qasas-82:
And those who yearned for his place only the day before said: “Ah! So Allah amplifies and straitens the means of subsistence for which He wills of His servants. If Allah had not blessed us, He would have caused the earth to swallow us up as well. Assuredly the disbelievers never have Salvation.
28/Al-Qasas-83:
This is the Abode of the Hereafter, We assign it to those who do not seek to exalt themselves in the earth nor to make mischief. The (good) end is for the pious (the owners of piety).
28/Al-Qasas-84:
Whoever comes with good deeds (the positive degrees) so for him is the better of it. And whoever comes with evil deeds (the negative degrees), then those who do evil deeds will only be requited for what they used to do (the equal with the remaining degrees after the degrees they have earned have been subtracted from the degrees they have lost).
28/Al-Qasas-85:
Most surely He who has made the Qur’an binding (obligatory) on you are the One Who will bring you back to a place of return. Say:” My Lord knows best who comes with the Hidayet and who is in manifest Misguidance”.
28/Al-Qasas-86:
And you did not expect that the Book would be delivered to you, but as a Mercy from your Lord. Therefore do not help the disbelievers.
28/Al-Qasas-87:
And let them not turn you away from the Verses of Allah after they have been sent down to you. And call to your Lord (to make the wish to reach Allah) and be not of the associators.
28/Al-Qasas-88:
And call (worship) not with Allah any other deity. There is no deity but He. Everything will perish except Him. His is the Judgment, and to Him you shall be brought back.
