« Verse-96 »
وَلَتَجِدَنَّهُمْ أَحْرَصَ النَّاسِ عَلَى حَيَاةٍ وَمِنَ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ يُعَمَّرُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمُزَحْزِحِهِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ أَن يُعَمَّرَ وَاللّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ
English Transliteration: Va la tacidannahum aahraasaan neasi aalea haayeatin, va minallazeena ashraakoo yavaddu ahaaduhum lav yuaammaru alfa sanah(sanatin), va mea huva bi muzaahzihıhee minal aazeabi an yuaammar(yuaammara), vaalleahu baaseerun bimea yaa’maloon(yaa’maloona).
And verily, you will find them the greediest of mankind for life. Even everyone of those associators (those who ascribe partners to Allah) loves that he should be granted a life of a thousand years, and his being granted a long life will in no way remove him further off from the torment (punishment). And Allah is All-Seeing of all that they do.
