وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ كَانَ مِنَ الْجِنِّ فَفَسَقَ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِ أَفَتَتَّخِذُونَهُ وَذُرِّيَّتَهُ أَوْلِيَاء مِن دُونِي وَهُمْ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ بِئْسَ لِلظَّالِمِينَ بَدَلًا
English Transliteration: Va iz kulnea lil maleaikatiscudoo li eadama fa sacadoo illea iblees(ibleesa), keana minal cinni fa fasakaa aan amri raabbih(raabbihee), a fa tattahızoonahu va zurriyyatahoo avliyeaa min doonee va hum lakum aaduvv(aaduvvun), bi'sa liz zealimeena badalea(badalan).
And We had said to the angels: “Prostrate yourselves before Adam”. They prostrated themselves immediately, except Iblîs (Lucifer). He was one of the jinn. So he transgressed the Command of His Lord. Do you still then take him and his offspring for friends rather than Me, (whereas) they are your enemies? What an evil exchange (Hell) for the wrong–doers!
