7/Al-A'raf-144: (Allah) said: “O Moses! Surely I have chosen you above the mankind with My Message and with My Word. Therefore take hold of what I gave to you and be of the grateful ones”.
7/Al-A'raf-145: And We wrote for him (Moses) on the Tablets an admonition and the detailed explanation of all things (by explaining in detail with a definite Judgment). So take hold of them firmly and enjoin your people to take hold of what is best thereof. I will show you the home of Al-Fâsiqûn.
7/Al-A'raf-146: I will turn away from My Verses those who are unjustly proud in the earth. If they see every verse they will not believe in it. If they see the way of Rushd (immaterial maturity) they do not take it for a way, and if they see the way of Gayy (way of Hell), they take it for a way. This is because they belied our Verses and were heedless of them.
7/Al-A'raf-147: And those who reject Our Verses and the meeting of the Hereafter (the spirit’s reaching Allah while living), their deeds are vain (null). Shall they be punished except for what they used to do?
7/Al-A'raf-148: And the people of Moses made, after (he had gone to the Mount) him, from their ornaments a calf - an image having a lowing sound and took it (for a god). Do they not see that it did not speak to them nor guide them to a way (deliver them to Hidayet)? They took it (for a god) and they became wrong-doers.
7/Al-A'raf-149: When it was made to fall into their hands (when they came to their senses and resented) and saw that they had fallen into Misguidance. They said: “If our Lord does not have mercy upon us and forgive us, we will surely be among the losers”.
