6/Al-An'am-74: And Abraham had said to his father Âzar: “Do you take idols for gods? Surely I see you and your people in manifest Misguidance”.
6/Al-An'am-75: And thus (did) We show Abraham the secrets of the heavens and the earth and that he might be Mûqinîn (those who have Faith with certainty).
6/Al-An'am-76: So when the night covered him over with darkness, he saw a star. He said: “This is my Lord”. But when it set, he said: “I do not love the setting ones”.
6/Al-An'am-77: Then when he saw the moon rising up, he said: “This is my Lord”. But when it set, he said: “If my Lord does not guide me, I should certainly have been of the people who are in Misguidance”.
6/Al-An'am-78: Then when he saw the sun rising up, he said: “This is my Lord, this is greater”. But when it set, he said: “O my people! Surely I am clear of what you associate”.
6/Al-An'am-79: Surely I have turned my face towards Him who created the heavens and the earth as being Hanîfâ. And I am not of the associators.
6/Al-An'am-80: And his people argued with him. He said: “Do you argue with me concerning Allah while (My Lord) delivered me to Guidance (Hidayet)? I do not fear in any way those that you set up with Him, unless my Lord wills something. My Lord surrounds in His Knowledge all things. Will you not then be mindful”?
6/Al-An'am-81: And how should I fear what you associate (idols) while you do not fear that you have associated with Allah that for which He has not sent down to you any proof (Sultan)? Which then of the two parties is surer of security if you know?
