2/Al-Baqarah-225: Allah does not call you to account for what is vain in your oaths, but He calls you to account for what your hearts have gained (for the negative degrees, vile and sins) and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Gentle.
2/Al-Baqarah-226: Those who swear that they will not go in to their wives should wait four months; so if they go back (to their wives by giving expiation before the term comes to an end), then Allah is surely Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful.
2/Al-Baqarah-227: And if they (who take such oaths) decide upon divorce, then Allah is surely All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
2/Al-Baqarah-228: And the divorced women should keep themselves in waiting for three menstrual courses (they should examine whether they got pregnant); and it is not lawful for them that they should conceal what Allah has created in their wombs, if they believe in Allah and the Last Day; and their husbands have a better right to take them back in the meanwhile if they wish for reconciliation. And they (women) have rights similar to those of (men) in kindness (in a just manner, according to what is reasonable=Ma’rûf) but the men (their rights) are a degree above them, and Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.
2/Al-Baqarah-229: The divorce is twice, after that, either you retain her on reasonable terms (Ma’rûf) or release her with kindness (Ihsân). And it is not lawful for you to take from them anything you have given them, except when both fear that they can not keep up the limits of Allah, there is no sin on either of them for what she gives up to become free thereby. These are the limits of Allah, so do not exceed them, and whoever exceeds the limits of Allah, these it is that are the wrong-doers (unjust).
2/Al-Baqarah-230: And if he divorces her (for the third time after he has divorced her for the second time), then she is not lawful unto him thereafter until she has married another husband (and then she became free from that marriage too). Then, if the other husband divorces her, it is no sin (blame) on both of them if they return to each other (by marriage), provided they feel that they can keep up the limits of Allah, and these are the limits of Allah, which He makes plain for a people who know.
