2/Al-Baqarah-216: War is enjoined on you, even though it be disliked by you; and it may be that you dislike a thing and it is actually good for you and it may be that you love a thing and it is actually bad for you. And Allah knows while you do not know.
2/Al-Baqarah-217: They ask you concerning fighting in the Forbidden Month. Say: “Fighting in it is great (sin), but hindering (mankind) from Allah’s Way and denying Him, and (forbidding) Mesjid-i Haram and turning its people out of it (Mekke), are even greater (sin) with Allah; and mischief is even greater(sin) than killing”. And they will not cease fighting with you until they turn you back from your religion, if they can; and whosoever of you turns back from his religion, then he dies as an unbeliever, and all his works shall go wasted in this world and the Hereafter, and they are the inmates of the Fire. They shall abide in it forever.
2/Al-Baqarah-218: Verily, those who believe (became âmenû) and emigrate and strive hard in the Way of Allah, these hope for the Mercy of Allah and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
2/Al-Baqarah-219: They ask you about wine and gambling. Say: “In both of them there is a great sin and (some) means of benefit for the mankind, but the sin of them is greater than their benefit”. And they ask you what they ought to spend (for the sake of Allah)? Say: “That which is beyond your needs”. Thus Allah explains to you the Verses, so that you may ponder (over the wisdom contained in them).
