24/An-Nur-1: (This is) a chapter (Sûrah) which We have sent down and made obligatory (some verses of it). And We sent down explained Verses in it with Clear proofs, that perhaps you may deliberate.
24/An-Nur-2: The adulteress and the adulterer, flog each of them a hundred stripes (that affects the skin only) and let not pity for them detain you concerning (the application of) Allah’s Religion, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day, and let a party of the believers witness their torment.
24/An-Nur-3: The adulterer cannot marry other than an adulteress or an idolatress and as for the adulteress; none can marry her except an adulterer or an idolater. All that is forbidden to the believers.
24/An-Nur-4: And for those who accuse chaste women, then cannot bring four witnesses, flog them with eighty stripes (that affects the skin only) and never accept their witnessing, and these it is that are the transgressors (who are not in the Way of Allah or have gone out of it).
24/An-Nur-5: Except those who repent after this and improve. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (the One who manifests with His Mercy attribute).
24/An-Nur-6: And those who accuse their wives of adultery, if they have no witnesses but themselves, then the testimony of each of them shall be a testimony sworn by Allah four times repeated, that he is indeed of the truthful ones (of those who speak the truth).
24/An-Nur-7: And the fifth (testimony) is that Allah’s Curse be upon him if he is one of the liars.
24/An-Nur-8: And it shall avert the torment (punishment) from her if she bears witness four times by Allah, that he (her husband) is most surely one of the liars.
24/An-Nur-9: And the fifth (testimony) that the Wrath of Allah be upon her if he is one of the truthful (if he has spoken the truth).
24/An-Nur-10: And if it had not been for the Virtue of Allah upon you and His Mercy (you would have under-gone a punishment)! And that Allah is Oft- Forgiving (the One Who accepts repentance), the All-Wise (the Owner of Wisdom and Judgment).
