17/Al-Isra-39: This is of what your Lord has revealed to you of the wisdom. Do not associate any other god with Allah! Otherwise you should be thrown into Hell, blamed, and rejected.
17/Al-Isra-40: Has then your Lord preferred for you sons, and taken for Himself from among the angels daughters? Verily you indeed utter a big (an awful) saying.
17/Al-Isra-41: We have made plain (the truths) in this Qur’ân that they may deliberate (comprehend), but it (these explanations) increased them in nothing but aversion.
17/Al-Isra-42: Say: “If there had been other gods along with Him as they say, then certainly they would have sought out a way to (reach) the Owner of the Throne.”
17/Al-Isra-43: Glory be to Him and exalted be He in high exaltation above what they say!
17/Al-Isra-44: The seven heavens and the earth and those who are in them glorify Him. There is not a single thing but glorifies Him with His praise. And but you cannot comprehend their glorification. Surely He is Ever Forbearing, Oft-Forgiving.
17/Al-Isra-45: And when you recite (read) the Qur’ân, we placed between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter (in reaching Allah before death and the Day of Resurrection) a Hicab-ı Mesture (an invisible veil) (We put a veil on their eyes that prevent them from seeing you as a prophet).
17/Al-Isra-46: And We have placed Ekinnet (coverings) on their hearts and a Vakra (heaviness) in their ears to prevent them from comprehending it (the Qur’ân). And when you mention your Lord Alone in the Qur’ân, they turned their backs in aversion.
17/Al-Isra-47: We know best what they listen to and when the wrong-doers say in whispers; “you follow (depend on) only a bewitched man” as they listen to you.
17/Al-Isra-48: See what comparisons they bring for you (they said for you: bewitched, possessed, insane, poet) and so they remained in Misguidance. So they have no power finding the way (Sıratı Mustakîm).
17/Al-Isra-49: And they said; “What! When we shall become bones and decayed fragments (crumbled dust), shall we then certainly be raised up (resurrected) again, being a new creation?”
