16/An-Nahl-55: So let them be ungrateful for what We have given them. Go ahead enjoy yourselves. Soon you will know.
16/An-Nahl-56: And they set apart for what they do not know a portion of what We have given them as sustenance. By Allah, you shall most certainly be questioned about that which you forged.
16/An-Nahl-57: And they ascribe daughters to Allah. Glory be to Him (He is excepted of having children). And for themselves (sons that they prefer) what they desire.
16/An-Nahl-58: When the news of (the birth of) a female (child) is brought to any of them, his face turns black (dark), and he is filled with inward grief.
16/An-Nahl-59: He hides himself from his people because of the evil of that whereof he has been informed. Shall he keep her with disgrace or bury her in the earth? Surely evil is what they judge, is it not?
16/An-Nahl-60: (The news) being regarded as evil is for those who do not believe in the hereafter (for those who do not wish to reach Allah while they are living). And for Allah is the highest attribute. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.
16/An-Nahl-61: And if Allah were to question and punish at once mankind (for their wrong-doing), He would not leave on it (the earth) a single moving creature. And but He respites them till an appointed term. When their term comes, neither it gets delayed nor gets advanced an hour.
16/An-Nahl-62: They ascribe to Allah what they dislike (their daughters) and their tongues relate the lie that the best thing is theirs. There is no doubt that for them is the Fire (Hell) and that they are in extravagance.
16/An-Nahl-63: By Allah, most certainly We sent (messengers) to nations before you. But Satan made their deeds fair-seeming to them. So he will be their friend that Day. For them there is a painful torment.
16/An-Nahl-64: And We have not sent down the Book to you, except that you may make clear to them that in which they differ and as a Guidance and a Mercy for a people who believe (who became believers by wishing to reach Allah).
